melanie 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2004 hey check this out: http://www.freedomain.pro/ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That looks pretty nice, but I still dont like the ending co.nr for some reason.
Sundari Harmony 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2004 I have a co.nr for one of my sites ... it's not that bad *shrug* I also have a uni.cc ... and I don't really like .tk for some reason. I think of all of them co.nr sounds the most professional.
kc8yff 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2004 The best re-directors are: http://www.dot.tk/en/index.html?lang=en http://www.noip.com/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://www.freedomain.pro/ Are you looking for a free domain with space or just a redirector? chunkynotsmooth 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2004 http://www.dot.tk/en/index.html?lang=en does offer free doamin. But with very very limtied control. No DNS change, no name server, no MX, no subdoamin. Its more like forwarding service provided by no-ip.com They do also offer all the services, for a fee <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They do offer Dns change. They do offer name servers. They are 35.00, but I got mine at https://www.zoneedit.com/. Very easy!
prolifik 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2004 dot TK is good except for those annoying pop ups(in their free service) plus they do not give you DNS management, they only offer URL forwarding, only useful if you want a short address but in a domain sense, it's practically useless but if you really like a TLD address then dot TK would be good. Ohh... And you need some hits to retain your domain... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've been using Dot.tk's services for quite awhile now and it's been doin good. About that pop-up window, you can disable it. First of all you have to login to your account, then go to "My Marketing" and there you'll find an option where you can disable that pop-up.

Tonice112322004 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2004 Sorry if this post will bust your bubble, all those free domains out there are only subdomains, I repeat only SUBDOMAINS...A real Domain, also known as a Top Level Domain, is xxx.com/.org/.biz/.info/.etc well you get my point...So, why is this matter??? because a real domain, will take up to 3 days to successfully regester to a IP address, while a subdomain will only take 1 hour max... japanick 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2004 Does domaindiscount24.com really give you free .info names? Is it legit? It says they will not register your name until they receive the wire transfer.. certainly they aren't giving away free domains are they?
iGuest 3 Report post Posted October 12, 2004 I like the http://www.dot.tk/en/index.html?lang=en the most because it is the shortest free domain. A .tk domain is not really a domain its just a redirection, which i find very helpful when you are using a subdomain. Theres also https://www.domaindiscount24.com/en, but they only give you the .info domain for 1 year then they start charing your credit card. I recommend either uni.cc domain or .tk redirection. A lot of registrar were providing free .info domains. Not sub domains. I didn't get any becasue I don't have a credit card. And these sites need credit card no to start charging you after one year. It take 72 hours to propagate com,/net/org domains. But the propagation time for .info domain is just couple of hours. Its how the .info root DNS's are structured. Don't beleive me, do google search. musichere 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2004 Domains are ridiculously cheap compared to webhosting, or even compared to food. For the equivelant of about 20p a month you can get a .com address domain from websites like https://www.1and1.co.uk/ or https://www.hostmysite.com etc.

It says they will not register your name until they receive the wire transfer.. certainly they aren't giving away free domains are they? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, they realy did. I've registered around 20 free .info domain and added some of them to my host, one of them is http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ which is hosted by Xisto.com. But now, the promotional period is over. You can find many registrar offerring the free .info domain by searching "free info domain" in Google. If you have the Credit Card, you can register up to 25 free info domain at http://www.doster.com/ in one year.( Credit card is required only for security reasons, it charges you nothing). ChronicLoser 0 Report post Posted November 17, 2004 well, I personally only like the uni.cc type of "free domain" where they have DNS capabilities. Redirections slow down slower computers...
