Using Usb Data Card Over Ethernet using USB data card in etherent

I am using an BSNL 3G data card. In my office laptop USB port is blocked. is there a way i can connect the data card thru ethernet port

I don't know for sure but I don't think so -- due to how networking and USB work (one example is that USB supplies power, the ethernet port doesn't).

I would contact your employer's IT department and request that they unblock the port, if it's needed for something work-related.

You might want to consider a hotspot device, most of the major carriers offer them and they allow multiple devices to be connected, the other option would be if another labtop was handy and you could adhoc. I take it since the company blocked the usb ports they dont want you doing anything to their pcs.
