Just to clear this up... Where does the internet actually come from? You say the ethernet adapter but where deoes that connect?Do you have a router which connects to the internet via a phone line, then the laptop connects to the internet via ethernet? And then you want to make your laptopinto a wireless router so that your phone connects to the laptop and gets internet access right? If so then you will need to google "win7 internet sharing" and "win7 wireless adhoc mode" Basically you need to setup windows to enable wireless ad-hoc mode (which simply means computer to computer rather than computer to router) and then enable internet sharing. I dont use win7 but it should be relatively easy if you search those two terms.

Correct me if I'm wrong..here's a network diagram I pictured base on the set up you want..ISP--------Modem------PC ))) ICS (((Phone..ICS - Internet Connection Sharing. It's not available with Win7 but you can still set it up using Ad Hoc Networking...I may be able to help you but are you using a Windows 7 Starter or Home Premium.. If it's Home Premium, it will be easier since Win7 Starter is said to not allow Ad Hoc Networking...(Though someone found a way to enable it..)But here's a quick guide you can try: 1. Start > Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center2. Under "Change Your Network Settings", Click "Set up a new connection or network."3. On the "Choose a connection option" box, select "Set up a wireless adhoc (computer-to-computer) network". 4. Click Next and fill in the necessary information a. Network Name - Name of your own network b. Security Type: Select WEP (Not as secured as WPA/WPA2 but will work with almost all wireless devices. I recommend this because HDC HD's spec doesn't say about specific security type support. c. Security Key: Enter a 10-digit Code (Your will be wireless password. Use number or you may include letters A to F as WEP uses Hexadecimals (0-9 and A-F)..5. Next > Close.6. Search for wireless networks on your HTC..It should detect your Network Name.. Try connecting to it...You might run into new problems..post it here.

Btw I tried to turn off internet cable and try to make AD hoc network but unsuccesfully sad.gif( dont know what to do:(

Oh my god. I totally forgot. Do you have a wireless adapter connected to your main computer? I just re-read your first post and I noticed that you didn't mention having a wireless adapter (USB wireless or PCIE Wireless card) installed on your computer. If you don't then we figure out the problem. To set up the Win7 Ultimate computer and turn it into a router, it has to have a wireless adapter to transmit/receive signal.

But if you have it, then it must be some settings on either the computer or the HTC. The easiest way to solve it would be using a wireless router.
