QueenBea 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2009 Hi I have a 20 pence coin which the Royal Mint made an error with the printing. http://www.michael-coins.co.uk/Undated%2020%20pence.htm I have looked on E-Bay and they seem to be selling for about 100 pounds. The question is should I sell it now or should I wait and maybe in a few years it may be worth a lot more.
brittmortimer 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2009 If I had that coin I would wait a few years before selling it, or save it for when i would need it the most, you know?
rpgsearcherz 5 Report post Posted August 10, 2009 I don't know anything about the coin really but if it has value now the value will only go up. Especially with older items. Because over time people lose or have theirs destroyed from various causes.Who knows, in 10 years it could be worth 50x what it is now!
anwiii 17 Report post Posted August 10, 2009 if you are already thinking of selling your coin for money, i suggest doing it now. the price of the coin is geting a good price as of recently. it will go down soon i am sure. then work it's way back up in another 50 years or so. but yea, if you need the money, sell it NOW. but it would be something nice to hand down to your kids or someone else if you don't really need the money from the sale. TheDisturbedOne 1 Report post Posted August 10, 2009 If you ever plan on selling it, sell it now. The price of those coins always go down (I have some rare coins as well). If I were you though, I would save it just for personal value. And you can show it to your kids (if you have kids) and their kids (if you are an older generation).
