Hospital Stays Ewwwww, been a rough couple days

Been having this sharp stabbing pain non stop in my chest for about a week in a half now. Live in small town in the mountains my Dr.s office is about 2 and a half hours away and with the weather have not been able to get there, So I started having this pain about a week and a half ago I went into the emergency room they ran some tests andtold me I had pluracy, Which is an infection in the linning around your lungs. They gave me some meds and sent me on my way. few days go bye nothing has chaned im still having this pain which is a 10 on there pain scale the highest. Second time I went in they tell me I have Pacriatitus give me medicine and send me on my way home. Oh stepping back a minute my first trip to ER was bye ambulance. 2nd trip was someone driving me. 3rd trip was by ambulance and they have run so many tests they tell me this time it was angina and something else. so off I go home again with different meds and feeling stupid cause they ER pretty much thinks im crazy and a druggie, So I decided I was not gonna go back no matter what I was gonna get to my doctors office come hell or high water. Which is open on Saturday, Monday And Tuesday. well this past monday and tuesday the weather would not permit me to take the trip lots of snow and cold weather and a long dangerous drive in the snow. Sunday I had a major like black out for a few hours I dont remember anything but I guess I was a horribble person was acting like I was drunk couldnt walk straight was slurring my words I didnt find this out till the next day what had happened and how horrible I was. i called to make a Doctors appnt. for this saturday mind you this was on monday. Well still having the pain i been dealing with it. Monday night I was walking out of the kitchenand just passed out face first on the kitchen floor room mates woke me right up and I was fine except for the same chest pain. the next day Tuesday night I passed out again going up stairs to go potty Room mates found me few minutes later and we decided it was time to go back to the ER Dr. Appnt wasnt until Sat. And roomates were worried I had a stroke or something. This is now Thursday 9:15 in the am and I am still sitting here in the hospital ( I got admitted Tuesday night) They have pretty much ran every test there is except a pet scan and bone scan and still cant find anything wrong with me they have me on all sorts of medication and pain meds and I just want to go home they have now cut off the pain meds and I would rather sit at home and be in pain than sit here in pain My kids miss me I miss them. And the doctor doesnt know if he is going to let me go home today yet or not and he has me on a Corinary diet which sucks terribly. Any way thats what I have been up to the last week or so. Anyone have anything similar or any ideas? I just want togo home. lol. Thanks Hope I dont get in trouble now im thinking that this should have been in the vent topic. Eeegads, that sounds terrible! I hope you get an accurate diagnosis soon, very soon! It is very bad that they are coming up with such completely different diagnosis, there is one heck of a lot of difference between plurisy and Pacriatitus. I have had plurisy, years ago, and I would have to agree, on a scale of one to ten with ten being the most painful, plurisy is a Twelve! Hope your better soon!

Geeezzz, doctors with all there high priced thinamajigs and they cant figure out what is going on. I will have you in my prayers. and I hope they find what is causing all this soon. Good Luck

Ughhhh!! Well still sitting here with no more answers than i had yesterday thought I would be realsed today the Dr. told me this morning I was gonna go see the Nurologist (I think thats how you spell it) Anyway its about 130 pm here havent seen him yet but they came and took me for xrays of my whole left side from my neck to almost my knees. standing laying down. About 12-15 X-Rays I keep asking the nurses whats going on they dont know they say the Doctor has not told them im being discharged. Im on day 4 with no caffene and no ciggarette. Im grumpy and I want to go home. Pheww I feel a little better getting that out. Anyway I will try to keep you all updayed with anyluck I will be home sometime tonight or tomarrow.

WooooHooooo finally I am home from the Hospital I got home Saturday evening. Been a rough couple of days its now monday morning. My body was going through withdrawls from have IV moriphine every 4 hrs for 5 days and 1 toridol pills twice a day and 2 10.0 vicadaine every 6 hrs thats just the pain meds I was on for 5 days striaght. and the first night I was home I felt pretty good yesterday I was very sick and having withdrawls. Feeling so so today am getting better but getting to the point of why I was even there all started from a sore throat. I had a sore through on one side for about a week and the one gland hurt so bad even on the outside of my throat and I didnt take care of it and get it checked out it was an infection and it spread to my chest. It took them 5 days to figure out what was wrong with me and why none of the pain meds were working. Then when I saw the specialist we got it figured out right away and I got to go home. Anyway sore throats can be serious business so if it bothers you more than a day or two get it checked out.

Glad you are feeling better. The Health Care system works slowly some times, but they are generally effective over time.
