Jezstarr 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2008 Well I am tossing up between going for the logic or unlimited hosting. The unlimited one says like $11.50 a month i think. But the Logic one says $1.99 a month and I upgraded the space etc. to my needs and the total came out to around $14.50 am I only paying the $14.50 straight off then paying the $1.99 monthly or what? I am a bit confused? Any help would be great!
Saint_Michael 3 Report post Posted November 3, 2008 Although there hasn't been anything set up about the rules for Unlimited hosting as of yet, but I will mention it wouldn't take much to get that account terminated if you break the rules such uploading illegal files or porn and what not. As for the logic plan you already know what you can work with and what you can and cannot do on that account and as for the prices you will be paying $14.50 each month or year depending on what you picked for the billing cycle. The $1.99 would be the price if you went with default package with no top level domain and didn't increase anything from the configuration page.
kobra500 1 Report post Posted November 3, 2008 (edited) I don't like the new Xisto - Web Hosting, i liked it back when I bought my plan, it was simple and easy to use and instead of custom you had cheap presets which were very good value for money, my plan cost about ?30 for a year.btw , when my year runs out , i don't have to sign up on the new logic system do I? I can just pay for the same I did before? Edited November 3, 2008 by kobra500 (see edit history)

Spyda 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2008 I'm wondering how one would go about upgrading from logic, to a windows based plan instead. I first went with the loic plan, but now I realized that the Windows hosting plan seems like a much better deal after all.
Jezstarr 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2008 I still do no understand what's so different from Windows and Linux hosting? Could some be able to briefly update me on this?
rvalkass 5 Report post Posted November 4, 2008 I still do no understand what's so different from Windows and Linux hosting? Could some be able to briefly update me on this? Windows hosting runs a Windows operating system. The only real advantage is that you can use ASP on a Windows machine.Linux is more stable, more secure and more reliable.Other than that, the differences now are practically invisible. Years ago it used to make a big difference which one you picked. Certain features were only available on one or the other. Now, however, it makes very little difference. FrontPage extensions are available now on Linux servers, for example.

velma 6 Report post Posted November 5, 2008 btw , when my year runs out , i don't have to sign up on the new logic system do I? I can just pay for the same I did before?Of course. You will not be forced to shift plans and can continue with the same package as before.'m wondering how one would go about upgrading from logic, to a windows based plan instead. I first went with the loic plan, but now I realized that the Windows hosting plan seems like a much better deal after all.Well, you simply need to order a windows plan BUT unfortunately we do not offer Linux to Windows transfers therefore you will need to back up your data and then load it yourself on your Windows plan. Now depending on when you signed up I will adjust the invoice but kindly note that Windows is recommended only if you need it.
