dolar123 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2008 (edited) I would like to make some money off of my site. I know it's not professional or anything, but this one kid I know said he was able to buy a web cam with the money he got from donations! I feel uncomfortable having PayPal on my site, you know? Do you put donations on your site? I mean, I wouldn't give any out, but do some people actually do that? If you could provide information on how you do it, how you think I should do it, or why people would give out donations then (please!) TELL ME! Also, how much would they give out if they chose to do so? Thanks for all of your help! my site:http://guitar-forums.webgoo.us/forumhttp://bali-guide-info.blogspot.de/http://beauty-health-1.blogspot.de/http://broker-valas.blogspot.de/ Edited April 9, 2008 by dolar123 (see edit history)

thorne 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2008 Another way to make money is through Google AdSense, where they put ads on your site and you get a couple cents for each click on the ads. I think they have one specifically for blogs.
KNOWLEDGEforKNOWLEDGE 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2008 Your blogs are very interesting and well developed! I wouldn't go with the donation idea, it really doesn't work very often especially for bloggers. Rather perhaps you can make a product related to your blog and market it to your readers...for instance sell your own Bali travel guide? Your Bali blog seems to have a lot of information that other travel guides cannot or do not include, hell i'd buy it! Good luck.
Sica-GURU 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2008 hm..generally donations are made by member groups or some persons that want to help others...You should have a cause for your donation ( better than convincing people you want it for you, of course if you're don't need them for a medical surgery or something)... like a site administrating needs..or needs for improving the site or the content.some ideas like eco-stuff or poor-kids... a new community with a hobby and they'll pay for some services or info.. something like that. moutonoir 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2008 Have you considered selling a good or service closely related to one of your site topics? It could be something small; if you just want a little bit of money then it doesn't need to be significant. But this seems like it would be more appropriate than donations, unless you're sending the money to a cause or the like. I wouldn't ask for donations for a cause with the intent of making a profit; if your readers found out, they would probably be offended.
rpgsearcherz 5 Report post Posted July 21, 2008 I would say to go with advertisers. If your site has enough visitors you can get some of the better programs out there that will pay decently. Like for example some will pay $3 per 1000 visitors a day. But if you have 500k people coming per day it adds up fast. Really just depends on your activity on the site. There are lot of decent and fast ways to earn money online. If you have good niche and more traffic then use adsense or bidvertiser or Affiliate programs. If you have limited visitors then try to sell Resale Rights products or MRR or PLR, then you don't have to worry about creating Product and sales page. Example: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ With Regards.
TheDisturbedOne 1 Report post Posted October 16, 2008 I think you should put more time into one of your blog instead of having many. I also think you should pick something to blog about. Just posting pictures and such, you should just put in a Gallery and enable comments. For your forum, host your own forum, and get a guitar centered theme. It will look a lot better. For getting money, I don't know how you could do it without Paypal or something like it. I would suggest putting ads on and getting the payments sent to you via-mail. joeblogg 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2008 nice guitar forum site. to get visitors what you need to do is get your site onto google and then you will get visitors. hopefully your guitar forum site will do well. anyway just put a paypal donation thing on. don't be scared to use paypal, its great and it will get you some money. trust me as long as you have visitors there are people stupid enough out there to give money to people they don't even know. so basically all you have to work on is the amount of visitors which means putting signs up around you area paying shops small amounts to have them put a poster of your site on getting your site onto google and stuff like that and then you will start getting donations.good luck.
