Sometime ago I was hosted by one of the free hosting sites (which I found from the same site review) but that site went offline for the reason they couldn't explain to the members. My grandmother had just passed away and her 12 kids wanted to bid privately for the items in her inheritance. (They each inherited a fair bit of money also, so bidding was slightly fierce!) I found some free PHP auction software. I did not want to abuse my own site for it (besides; they don't "do" scripting) so I searched THE ENTIRE INTERNET (well it feels like I did) for a Hosting Provider that was cheap (it doesn't get any cheaper than free...), dependable (no complaints here), no pop-ups on the site, no shenanigans with DNS redirecting to pornsites all of a sudden, and ofcourse a fair bit of room and bandwith. Well wadda ya know... This here Xisto-diddy seems allmost too good to be true! 'Xcept it aint! So I'm staying, even though the auction is over... Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

But then i just said screw all of the others and decided to go with Xisto, it just gives so many things for free, for which you'd have to pay in other websites. It was jsut because of OpaQue's posts, especially "Why go somewhere else to get cheated?". I wanted more bandwidth. And I think the credit finally goes to Opaque. Peaktao 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2005 I think we started by search engine (google), where we search for free web hosting.Then what we found from google is some web-host review. (sorry I can't remember which one it was)...where they review many webhosts. And it says that for Xisto, it's free but you have to be an active member of the forums. I was so happy to see it. Than I found out I had to post. Usually I pass those hosts up but with it being this good I went and did it. Read the details and started posting.
