ronin 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2004 I use ad-aware. It does the job. I have tried others but most dont get all of the stuff that ad-aware does. Again, it doesn't get everything but what product can? Every adware company changes thier methods all the time and others have to try and keep up. Its all about catch the mouse in this game. pbrugge 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2004 Any firewall where I can open and close/stealth my own ports is fine to me, I dont wanna rely on the judgement of the software only. In windows I used sygate personal firewall a long time which I thought was pretty oke

invalid 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2004 I was using ZoneAlarm before, but when Trend Micro came up with the Internet Security so many years ago, I used their firewall instead. Function-wise, I like ZoneAlarm better, I can really see whats going in and whats going out, but it ate alot of my resources. Im an avid user of PC-Cillin for years now, when I was infected with the Redlof.a (or something like that) I tried Norton and McAffe but only PC-Cillin cleared it. And less memory usage also, not like that Dreadful Norton.
