C++ For N00b's

Im wanting to learn C++ or one of the "C's"I havnt programmed in C befor or any of them..However i have programed in BASIC languages and PythonWhat would be a good way to get started...are there any good FREE compilersmaby a IDE with a drop and drag GUI would be sweet if there are any free oncesand any good tutorlials that u know of or lang reffs.

Thanks evry 1!when i got some free time on the weekend i will look at them... do you guys no any good tortorials or lang reffs? but i should be able to find them easy on google ... thanks agen

dear brother if u want to start programming then i think the very basic thing for u is Microsoft Excel ........ work in it ... create formulas and get a view abt programming next start learning GW Basic ... or qbasic ..... it will give a programming concept and then jumps into c language ... wish u best of luck..

Hey man, what are you telling, to learn C, we have to start from Microsoft Excel. lol. This is like to learn car you have to first learn to ride a bicycle. lol
To learn C, you can start from scratch. Just buy a book or download some tutorials online and start learning it and practicing it, thats all you require to be a C programmer.

sorry dear i am wrong ......... i think that man jst want to start programming ..did get wrong that he want to learn the c language...if u want to learn c then there are some link i m giving to you wich may help you for understand c language...

I suggest you could start with Pascal Languange first. It is a difficult-to-learn languange, but as you finished learning with it, another programming languange will be easier to learn (I do not say that it will be easy to learn. It could be difficult, though)Maybe you could try the MinGW Developer Studio, it's very easy to use
