Matt2 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2007 Hey,I thought I'd do another one of these "What Is..." things, because I like reading them and writing them . A while ago there was an article in my local paper about "Jason.Tv". I decided to give it a visit.Jason.Tv is about a guy who has a camera attached to his head 24/7. When he goes the the bathroom, you can still hear the sound, but he points the camera at the roof. When he is sleeping the camera is sat down pointed towards him. I thought it was a pretty weird thing to do, but people all over the world were watching him, live from his website (which sadly has been taken down, or is at a different address.) On the website was a chatroom, where everyone watching would chat about what he was doing. One day a viewer decided to prank call 911 and a fire truck was sent to his apartment and they barged the door down. Now whenever they get a call like this, they call Jason's house.Jason and his team would like to see this become the norm one day, and they wanted to open a website, where everyone could have their own blog and video hosting place, so they could stream their lives to the world, through the internet. As I said before, sadly Jason.Tv has been taken down or moved, and his url now redirects to someone else's site . And that's about all. Feel free to post your comments .
etycto 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2007 i heard of this site before, i think the reason the site went down was because he had issues with his landlord. sad part is i never got to check it out
salamangkero 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2007 Wow... it sure sounds a lot like Jim Carrey's Truman Show, only, "Jason" is quite aware of people watching him. I suppose it is also quite a lot like the Big Brother series. Although I must point out that not all the things "Jason" does is quite real. There probably is a histrionic or melodramatic part in him that "plays" to the audience.Hah! Maybe I'd even go as far as saying there's nothing real about reality TV

In which case it seems like it could be pretty fun for a while.. but after so long im sure youd like a break from doing stuff in front of the tv.. Now if its an occasionall blog type of thing.. this what we did today think then that might be cool..Also the idea to have ablog based on this is actually acool thing that was brought up in this section.. it be cool to see what people do on a daily bassis.. for example.. blog video while at work.. especially if like some folks who have real laid back jobs doing crazy stuff all the time.. but then again.. dont let it get you into trouble..good ideas.. to bad I had never heard of Jason Tv prior to this post

iGuest 3 Report post Posted May 15, 2009 I have heard that he was posting live streams of himself watchingWWE Pay-Per-View events and their legal team cracked down on him. Even if it was an issue with his landlord, WWE knows of his existence and will be on the lookout if he resurfaces. A shame. -reply by Matthew
