dragonfang00 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2008 stealing is stealing.. copyright infringement is stealing.. piracy is stealing...as long as you will not use the content for public viewing, like for learning purposes only, then ask and tell the author first.. or you may find yourself stealing even if you don't know it.. Nabb 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2008 If you're somewhat smart, it isn't hard to prevent someone from 'stealing' a file of yours. It's only a few extra lines of code (except it fails if they directly embed from your website )Although there's nothing really wrong with this type of 'stealing'. Just put your name all over the file, and put some ads (e.g. mochiads, gamejacket), and now everyone who 'steals' your game is boosting your publicity and earnings you money

mamer 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2013 There are certain techniques that a developer can use to make stealing flash difficult (not impossible)If you use .htaccess file that prevents hot linking or downloading your movie clip that wold help.Another technique is that you don't compile all your data in the SWF, but get the SWF pull content on demand. So even the the flash is saved by the browser in a temp directory it would be useless without the source data.
