darran 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2006 For me, it would be nice to take a look but I won't go to this site when I want to look for softwares which need upgrading. FileHippo is basically unheard of and I would much rather go to a more popular site like download.com, they have been running for so long and gain so much popularity. I alredy dont like it.. too massive, too many text, no intresting things just text, text and more text.. and lots of diffrent colors and some kind a elephant at logo.. no offense but just ugly.. 4/10.. The feature that I like the most is how everything is organized by it function. Desktop applications, image editting software and compressions software are very easy to find. BUT, after I update and restart, the update still shows on update checker and will stay that way until the new update comes in, and then it starts the process all over again. How can I stop that??? pasten 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2009 Lot of negative comments in the beginning. Anyway, the site is very good and it does what it shows on about page. It has really useful and popular softwares. Very clean layout. Its way ahead by tens of miles compared to download.com and softpedia in accessibility and information it gives about files. iGuest 3 Report post Posted March 3, 2009 I love filehippo! Very easy to navigate and very cool colours - nothing harsh or distractive about the interface. The hippo logo is very cute. I think the logo is supposed to be "half-cut off" - adding to its' charm (as if it is peeping around a corner). The "filehippo updater" is the icing on the cake.
