Plenoptic 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2006 This looks like a good site. I migh have to use it sometime incorporated with http://www.w3schools.com/ I really ought to teach myself CSS in order to run my site smoothly but I just have never had the time. This looks good especially the source codes but I wish it would show examples on all of them.
lonebyrd 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2006 Good site. I really need to learn the ins and outs of CSS. I didn't realize until recently that to be compliant with HTML 4.01 you needed to use CSS. At least that was my understanding of it. I haven't tried validating any of my pages yet, I'm actually dreading it, but it will be worth it in the long run. jlhaslip 4 Report post Posted September 13, 2006 Validate early and it is easier to maintain the valid state of you pages. Once you fill the page with all kinds of stuff it becomes more difficult to track down the problems you are experiencing and correct them.I typically validate both the (x)html and the css once I have a page structured and then after I insert the nav and then again when the content is filled in.Validate your page from here
Saint_Michael 3 Report post Posted September 13, 2006 also to add on top of that when validating css, make sure your {x}html is validated. For some strange reason unless I'm a moron (most likly) the css validator tends not to validate itself because of an error in the coding somewhere. Can someone explain that to me so I don't have ot yell at my computer every time I validate css. also I recommend this site as well this place is loaded. http://www.alvit.de/handbook/
pixieloo 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2006 I like http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ (look under CSS)The tutorials explain a lot, and it's detailed. I also like W3schools' tutorials, since they were the ones that invented CSS!
