Tsunami 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2006 (edited) ok, recently, sexymama has asked me to help her with her website. So far, i have added quite a few features. Heres a list: --Sign Up/Login system --Forums --Message System --Blog (in progress) KinkyKittensClub.com I know, i know. Judging by the name it sounds a lil .... 'off beat' to say the list but i can assure you that there isnt anything 'sexual' about it. I know it says its a 'womens' community, but i would appreciate it if any one, including the guys, would take a look. Im not asking you to stay active members, but more or less to see if you like my lil' site plugins i made. Tell me what you think i could improve on. Tell me if it just sucks all around. id really like to know. Cause my plan is that when i have made the majority of the people i come across satisfied, im gonna make it a self installing thing for you all to use (if you want). *A Couple Notes*-- When making her website i came across a small problem. When using iframes like she did, i had to make the links page reload after you login/logout. This is kind of easy, however, sometimes it doesnt like to register the new cookies. If after you login, and you still see the login link in the links bar but your name is on the main page. Just reload the whole thing. That will fix it Edited August 20, 2006 by Tsunami (see edit history)
jlhaslip 4 Report post Posted August 19, 2006 Good Work!I am not crazy about the colours or the Iframe Layout, but nice job.And since I am not a "Kitten", I probably won't visit much, but the site has appeal to others, I am sure. Nice touch to link to the Xisto Homepage.
Tsunami 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2006 the color-scheme nor the layout were done by me, alot of the graphics arent either. Just the most of the technical stuff. You should have joined so you could see all the cool features, ill delete your account later if youd like <_<thanks for the compliments
TypoMage 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2006 Ummm I would be more then happy to tell you how to improve the site but the link is not working for me. So umm I cannot guess the quality of a site by its name And yea it kinda sounds like a porno site.(Sorry if it offends) But you gotta admit it.
Tsunami 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2006 (edited) omg! roflmao... im completely sorry, i didnt mean to spell kitten without an 'n'. I fixed it though, so now you can view it without copying and pasting the link into your browser's address bar. *edit* and of all the people to exploit the typo... Coincidence? i think not Edited August 20, 2006 by Tsunami (see edit history)
Mich 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2006 wow, pink, pink and more pink. Kind of hurts the eyes. Don't like all the scroll bars either. My resolution gives me 3 up and down bars and 3 side to side bars. What res was this designed for? Had trouble finding the sound control at bottom left hidden beyond the page length. The content and theme are nice. It looks like an interesting place to visit, but I am somewhat put off by the color and scroll bars. Tech stuff seems to be working ok Tsunami. Good job there. Tsunami 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2006 lol well thank you. Yea, i made it so that you could change the song but i forgot to make it so that you could just turn the music completely off. I think the thing i am most proud of is the forums because beleive it or not, Everything on that site uses flatfile databases. And the Forums consists only of 1 text file and 1 php file. But like i said, i didnt choose the color nor the layout as it isnt my site. I just make stuff for it <_<Thank you for the positive re-enforcement. Anything you think i could improve on? Albus Dumbledore 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2006 i like it, but it is just wayy to much PINK omg too much pink <_<anywho, i wish there was a way you could get rid of the Iframes because thats really somthing that just doesn't appeal to me, maybe if you used PHP Includes instead??the items you added look good, amd easy for people to use.....good job
Tsunami 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2006 On my website (to be released later on) i use php includes. i find them much more user friendly than iframes. Another little plugin i made but havent put on her site is a 'Whos Online' Feature. It allows you to see what users are online and what page they are currently viewing. It also automatically logs you out after 15 minutes of inactivity but when you become active again it will put you back in the list. I am a really big fan of php. Only untill like last month was i able to use it though. It sucked having to login to the host and edit all the files just for one lousy update. Now i have made it where you can login to the admin cp on the site and edit all the files aswell as add updates and events to the calendar. Ill Probably give you guys a link later on this or next week to download the file to install all these things on your own site.
CrazyRob 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2006 (edited) on the whole it looks presentible again like i say with a lot of sites i revew you could make better use of fonts like for instance on that site MyraidPro would be a good font to use. Do you use css style sheet? Also i would get rid of the iFrames as it makes the site look wose than it is. Some different colours than pink would also look good and some more images that do not look pixelated as you have a lot of " white space" or in your case pink space. You should also think about putting the adsence ads at the bottom of the page.other than that its ok for an ongoing project but id pay close attention to what the other members here say and take onboard what they say.PS: did you code the forums login and message system yourself? Tsunami 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2006 lol... Im to the understanding that iframes arent exactly 'the peoples favorites' when it comes to layouts. Yes, alot of the images i make do infact have alot of 'pink space' but that is because i use paint. We all know paint doesnt let you make transparent background GIF images so i do the best i can. And also i know that the pink on some of the images dont match the background of the site. Just so you know when i made the image it was the exact color but saving it was another issue. It changed the color automatically and i was to lazy to find a way around it. And as far as the font goes, you cant use to exotic of fonts because you have to use a font that the majority of people have installed on their systems. And of course i coded the forums, login system, and message system myself. I have also coded a CMS (Content Management System) and a style sheet editor (kind of like the one on invisionfree but it allows you to save as different names and switch back and forth as the active one on the site and edit them). I am also working on a chat. The first will be a prototype in just plain old PHP forms and such but after i get that working i will upgrade it to flash. I like making stuff in flash so i might post some of my stuff for you guys to checkout and such.
lemonwonder 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2006 Very nice, did you make the login system? And is there any way you would offer your login system to anyone?

tempest 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2006 Hello. Big Mammas site:D roflHere is list of features what you called: --Sign Up/Login system--Forums--Message System--Blog (in progress)They don`t give anything to your page. Maybe just that, that it sound good, but look at that site. OMFG. A lot to change, add and delate. Nice page with 5 FRAMES, but look at it. That`s not good. Why your header frames hasn`t got background? So let`s start with all problems:First one: Don`t use black letters if you background is pink, it doesn`t fit. How it will look, if gorgeous girl in pink will walk around with hard metallist in black? lmao. Try to use white color for all text. Some of your navigations, when I open it, has got that logo, but some of them doesn`t! Ex. About the site: There isn`t logo, but in Rules is logo. So use logo for all navigation or don`t use it at all. In Mainpage: Those 2 logos in one page don`t fit. I suggest you can do like this: Use navigation: About The Site as mainpage, and in menu bar add navigation UPDATES. That shpuld look better. That cursos looks abhorrent. Change it! And do it fast.Order your page`s text. It is strewed around all page.Take off scroll bars of each FRAME. Here is code, how to hide them:<BODY bgcolor="#FE84C9" style="SCROLLBAR-FACE-COLOR:#FE84C9;SCROLLBAR-ARROW-COLOR:#FE84C9;SCROLLBAR-3DLIGHT-COLOR:#FE84C9;SCROLLBAR-DARKSHADOW-COLOR:#FE84C9;SCROLLBAR-HIGHLIGHT-COLOR:#FE84C9;SCROLLBAR-SHADOW-COLOR:#FE84C9;SCROLLBAR-TRACK-COLOR:#FE84C9;">Never add music to your site! It`s making your site work slower. Add background to your header frame.
