The War Is Real Folks, Read This!

Recommended Posts

The main issue could well be how to deal with the leaders of our countries. If you have a look at a completely normal kindergarten..in every country.. You will notice that most kindergardens are divided into two "camps".One camp for neighbourhood A, and one camp for neighbourhood B.The kids choose side, and there will never be a winner, because neighboughood A and B will always exists. In each camp theres a leader. The leaders skillfulness accounts on how "loyal" or "faithfull" his troops are. Or, and this is more important, how smart, wise and human his troops are. What I am trying to say is, that we all know theres a war going on.And we all know how serious it is.I wont ever believe you can stop a war by sending in more troops.I believe the war is won based on how clever and, maybe human, the troops are.It is so small things that makes the water boil.Look at the case with the danish ( Im danish) drawings of Muhammed. They were really meant for fun...as a joke..So I wont recommend publishing more drawings. But I would recommend people all over the world to take a stand..because we have all proofs that none of our leaders can.The war will always be here. It is a war between ideas. And in a free world, there is no way ever to stop that. The issue is how we handle our ideas..

Iraq is a terrible country with a terrible backround, its best we step in and improve.

Iraq's history includes being the start of civilization as we know it today. Do some googling and search on Mesopotamia(sp?). And the stated opinion that the 'we' (read USA) had better step in and improve things is, in a nutshell, what got you into this mess in the first place.

The ONLY accepted way to deal with terrorism is via international diplomacy and direct aid to terrorism "hot spots".

Totally agree... You need to cripple terorism by destroying its source... how come?

Terorism feeds on poor-uneducated-misguided-wounded people..!

So spend the money you spent on bombs to help people... that way, when Al-Quadi needs a suicede-bomber, he will be refused... simple logic, noone want to hurt someone gives themself food..!

------------
by the way...

Iraq is worse condition, there is a civil war going there... people arent save in streets..!

USA killed the cat, and now it's mice all over..!

So spend the money you spent on bombs to help people...

they should be responsable for their own education... not the US, the US is over there to attempt to finish of terrorism from osama bin ladin and everyone else who hates our guts, not to educate them.. they should be able to do that themselves

And how are you supposed to get those people educated? It's not like there aren't books in the Middle East. It is the same as here. We have a dumbed down populas that will believe anything our government tells them or disbelieve what the government says no matter what.

I will tell you that unfortunately, force is about the only thing some people will respond to. Do you realize that during the first Gulf war when we did not go into Iraq that was considered a victory for SH? He stood up to the infidels and lived.

This is a complicated issue and will not be solved overnight. Are we hearing the truth from our news media? Probally not. We have a sound bite attention span. Leave me alone, I need to get back to American Idol.

We have to remain focused, use force if necessary and remove the grip that the radicals have on their population over there.

Speak softly and carry a big stick.

Theodore Roosevelt
Sometimes we have to use that big stick.

The negative view of war has not always been held as widely as it is today. Many thinkers, such as Heinrich von Treitschke saw war as humanity's highest activity where courage, honor, and ability were more necessary than in any other endeavour. At the outbreak of World War I the writer Thomas Mann wrote, "Is not peace an element of civil corruption and war a purification, a liberation, an enormous hope?" This attitude has been embraced by societies from Sparta and Rome in the ancient world to the fascist states of the 1930s. The defeat and repudiation of the fascist states and their militarism in the Second World War, the shock of the first use of nuclear weapons and increasing belief in the value of individual life (as enshrined in the concept of human rights, for example) have contributed to the current view of war.

Today, some see only just wars as legitimate, and believe that it is the responsibility of world organizations such as the United Nations to oppose wars of unjust aggression. Others believe that world organizations have no more standing to judge the morality of a war than that of a sovereign country.

Pictures of human suffering were on television sets all over the world in the days that followed hurricane Katrina's devastating blow to New Orleans just over a year ago. Human suffering that was made worse by the incompetent and callous mismanagement of the so called rescue effort. People around the world wondered how America could make such a hash of rescuing their fellow Americans from borderline starvation and the rising floodwaters that were engulfing the city.

Everyone knows now that the reason the Katrina rescue effort was a screw up of mammoth proportions was down to a failure of leadership. It is useful to remember that it is the same leadership that is prosecuting the so called global war on terror. That too is a screw up of mammoth proportions.

The Bush administration is doing its best to spread hate and fear amongst the population with words like "islamo-facist", "axis of evil" and "the worst of the worst". There is supposed to be a great stuggle going on of "good" versus "evil". America is "winning" the war, but there is still a long road ahead, possibly many years, possibly for ever, before victory can be achieved.

The stated goals of Pres. Bush are to spread "freedom and democracy" in the Middle East and "win hearts and minds". That way terrorism will be defeated! Far from winning hearts and minds, the fact is America has managed to spread chaos and hatred throughout the Middle East through the occupation of Iraq. Far from reducing the number of terrorists in the world, the fact is America has created a training ground in occupied Iraq for new terrorist recruits.

Far from spreading democracy in Iraq, there is now a civil war in progress. Axis of evil partner Iran is able to exert ever more influence in Iraq. Shia, Sunni and Kurds are unable to bury their differences and partitioning the country seems the most likely outcome.

In Afghanistan the Taliban have become active again and are a rejuvinated and effective, well equipped fighting force. They are engaging British and Canadian troops in the south. That is because Pres. Bush in his rush to start the war in Iraq neglected to finish the job that he started in Afghanistan.

Then America was most encouraging to Israel when Israel decided the best course of action in response to a couple of kidnappings was to flatten Lebanon. The result of that war was Hezbollah (terrorists) winners, Israel (good guys) defeated, Lebanon (democracy) flattened. Another Pres. Bush American leadership screw up. Axis of evil Iran backed the winning side, Hezbollah.

The center piece of Pres. Bush's war on terror must be all the terrorists successfully captured and locked up in Guantanamo Bay. Except there is a screw up going on there as well. Out of a total 770 "captured terrorists" (actually bought by the Americans), 315 have been quietly released, 455 remain, 10 have been charged with a crime and so far not one has been brought to trial. According to Pres. Bush, these detainees are the worst of the worst. But Pres. Bush has no evidence that would stand up in a regular court with which to convict a single one of these detainees. The only choice open to Pres. Bush is to gain convictions through rigged trials, if congress allows rigged trials to proceed, or to let all the detainees go.

The war on terror is a farce, a black comedy, a tragedy and a disater. Blame Pres. Bush, it's his fault.

Far from spreading democracy in Iraq

we gave Iraq a democracy. do you not watch the news and see that aproxamatly a year ago it was all over the news that Iraq was VOTING someone into power over Iraq... we gave them that, with out troops over there trying to get a hold on the situation, we were ble to give them a democracy, and now we are helping to keep a hold on it, and stop terrorists, and rebuild their world.

It is not a disaster when you have little kids thanking the solders over there for all their help and kind efforts.

The news does not show the good things that are happening in Iraq, the only thing that ever comes on the news is the bad things, like another car bombing, and another suicide bombing, but they never show our solders re-building homes that were torn down, and building schools for children to go to, and giving them things like stuffed animals, thing that they have never sen before in their life.
