Nation Wide Boycott On May 1

Recommended Posts

Has any one seen the news about this yet? It's todays news from Reuters. It seems that Latin Americans are conspiring to shut down major American cities across the nation. It seems they want amnesty for all illegal immigrants and make them legal. It may even stir up a lot more problems than anyone foresees. Is this what America is coming to? Where immigrants can cross our borders illegally and nothing is done about it? Where any country can send an invasion force and they are suddenly declared legal? Do other nations allow illegals to run rampant? There are so many questions that arises.

The principal got news of this May 1st boycotting thing. I don't know either some head guy or he took it off of Myspace. because i saw bulletins of this. lol. stupid teachers looking on myspace for info on students. curse YOu!! anyways. The principal got on the intercom and told the students they needed to go to school on May 1st and made some excuse about studying for the finals. I don't think people at my school are gonna do it. But the principal does encourage wearing white shirts in honor of this.

lol, i live in washington and this is the first time i have heard of this. .LOL... American isn't really that wealthy, there are still some people that are dirt poor. More people imigrating mean more job will be needed. Our economy is already bad after september 11, and there are still people jobless.Trying to make illegal imigration legal is outrageous.. lol.. No why the congress will approve of this. lol. Those people that are boycotting will probably get kick out of the country after finding out they are too an illegal imigratant. lol

On may 1st, if the National Guard is mobilized to arrest the illegals and ship them back across the border (at least until they get their papers in order) I, for one, will be on the floor rolling around bustin' a gut. Maybe it's all planned so that all the illegals will be gathered together. Would make rounding them all up a lot easier (and cheaper on the tax payer... <censored> IRS!). At any rate, it sounds like a terrorist action to me. Shutting down American cities in protest?!? Peacefully protesting I would not object to but they are conspiring to shut down cities which can have economic repercussions. In my book, that's a terrorist action against the (legal) citizens of the United States. I say arrest them all.

Yeah, almost everyone is gonna be skipping school on Monday at my school. It's sort of retarded, though, how all these asian and white kids aren't going to come to school even though it doesn't really matter to them. At my school, at least, it's retarded. My school's in this big school district and having some issues, so this is just what we need... lots of absenses will surely make the school district like us better. -.-But yeah... and it sounds sort of retarded for all the illegal aliens to be out on the streets claiming to be illegal, but asking for rights. If they dont' have any rights, won't they just be arrested and stuff?

They're human beings. They deserve rights?? Umm, has anyone forgotten that their ancestors were immigrants at one point? Read your history books. At some point in time your ancestors weren't looked upon favorably by those who were already here. There is no way America can stop illegal immigration. The more illegal they make it the harder people will try, because money is a always a strong factor. I'd like to see it try. It is better to make immigration legal and make it harder for immigrants to leave the country.

Immigration is legal but sneaking across the border isn't. Their are laws in this country. Just because they are a "minority" doesn't exempt them from the law. If the US gov't declares all illegal immigrants as suddenly legal, it will set a precedence for other illegals to just walk across our borders. If we allow anyone to cross our borders anytime they want, do you honestly believe this nation will be secure? We might as well allow anyone and everyone to just walk across our borders. Because of a lack of security at the Mexican border we now have approximately 40 small yield nukes waiting for a certain time to destoy this nation. How much worse would it be if we just competely open our borders to anyone who wants to come here. Do you honestly believe that every foreigner, whether legal or not, is benign? We might as well post signs along the borders that say:

Welcome To The United States

Don't Forget Your Suitcase Nukes

Many of the people of foreign nations despise America and it's citizens. We are referred as the Great Satan and there are over a billion people in the world who wants to destroy this country. Wait until the invasion of Iran, it's coming sooner than you think. Everything that is occurring in the world today is planned out. And watch for the impeachment of GWB. There are many state joining in to call for the president to be impeached. There is more going on than people want to believe.

And yes, Kim, they are human beings. They do have rights. We are human beings, too, and we have rights. We are required to comply with the law as human beings with rights. We require the government to keep our borders secure and intact to prevent foreign invasions. What makes law-breaking illegal foreigners better than the citizens of this nation. Whatever happened to everyone equal under the law? Reminds me of a book I once read by George Orwell entitled, "Animal Farm."

All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.

Thanks for the correction, matto, I must've been thinking about current world affairs when I wrote that

You mean entitled, "Animal Farm"? (They were both wonderful books <_<)

Do you honestly believe that the people who are participating in the march are the ones who want to bomb the United States? I think they are just fighting for their rights as human beings. I don't support making our borders free to everyone to just walk across, because that would obviously make the US too vulnerable to people sneaking nukes, drugs, etc...I agree with you that there are many people who hate America, and many more if the US invades Iran (which I hope won't happen, by the way), but is that the case with the Mexican immigrants? They come here to make money for their families, not to destroy the US. By giving them rights, we are just treating them as fellow human beings, and not any better than a US citizen, like you said.

About your article, I think I need to do more research on this news site. It seems a little biased.

Kim, disagreement is the basis for debate. Express your opinion, by all means! I may not agree with your views but I will gladly listen to what you have to say.

Do you honestly believe that the people who are participating in the march are the ones who want to bomb the United States?

All of them? Of course not! But I guarantee you that there will be some present that want to. Who? MS-13 (Mara Salvatrucha 13) members, for one. They will be present in the boycott. They are even the ones who helped smuggle in the nukes into the United States. Anyway, it is known that Mexico wants Texas and the surrounding area. This has been in the news in the past and is common knowledge among the informed. If you believe the article to be "biased" then you can always try the November 22, 2004 issue of Time magazine or you can try here or here or here or the Homeland Security Report No 156.

Actually many immigrants take all of the menial and horrible jobs that noone else wants, just like immigrants always have. Yes, they depress wages for a minority of United States workers. But, if you decide to deport them all, *then* you'll see the economy crash. Over and over again, I see people stick to their prejudices because they are ignorant or unwilling to investigate and see things in a fairer light. I agree that if immigrants want to be accepted more of them need to start showing patriotism towards the United States and try to become somewhat bilingual. But, by and large, the rest is prejudice and pure poppy-*BLEEP*. (I always wanted to use that word...)

WindAndWater, you used the word "immigrants" in your post. Because "immigrants" denote a legal bases I will agree with you. But the topic of this thread is illegal aliens who have violated American law by smuggling themselves into this country and now want to protest that they are illegal and want the US to accept them. They are also resorting to "terrorist-like" tactics by halting normal production flow in major metropolitan areas. Immigrants are accepted but illegal border crossings are not. Do you support the violation of American laws for illegal foreigners? You shouldn't support their planned terrorist-like tactics to shut down American cities to intentional bottleneck normal production and cause problems with the American economy. Bilingualism is a good thing for any foreigner entering the US with the intent of citizenship. But I will have to object to making the National Anthem in spanish. That, to me, is crossing the line.
