Saint_Michael 3 Report post Posted April 26, 2006 I made this for a site im working at and I did it in a way to make the banner blend in with the background in a smooth way also I didn't need to make a border for it since hte border is already done for me. to get a better look at it in a dark background go here. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

BuffaloHelp 24 Report post Posted April 26, 2006 I like the color balance you used. It fits nicely with the rest of forum template. What's unusual is that you left the part of upper right corner empty. Now, I've seen your past styles and that's bit unlike you, SM. But unless you're planning to extend your logo to fit the width of the forum perhaps I spoke too soon.Do you think the text "GFX HEADQUARTERS" should have darker outter glow effect? Saint_Michael 3 Report post Posted April 26, 2006 well ot answer your question on the glow if I make the outer glow darker then it wouldn't glow lit it would you need to have it a light color to make the text glow.well i never really worked on this style due to the fact is more banner related that actual sig related.I use adobe photoshop. savge17 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2006 I like it, but I would like to add though, is it me or is it a little too bright. Maybe just tone it down a little otherwise. Nice.
WindAndWater 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2006 As you've probably figured out by now, Internet Explorer 6 doesn't support png transparency, which sucks -- a lot. Thankfully, there are workarounds like the one posted at http://www.howtocreate.co.uk/alpha.html I'm not sure it works with 5 or 7, but I've had quite a lot of success with 6.
