Most people that complain about teenagers saving the world are actually teenagers themselves. Heres a list.

Sorry to dissappoint you but most of these RPG's while they do have some kids in them, the main characters are older than 19. But a mature player doesn't complain about how young a character is nor how kiddy a game is. A mature gamer has the decency to enjoy a video game based on great gameplay, not how old the character is.

I guess everyone can play them as long as them find them fun. There issn't any age limitation unless there's explicit contents in the games. Some may seem complicated for kids, but if they find them fun and adicting, why not. They are just games for leisure anyway.I'm over 20 years of age and personally didn't know what is going on in Final Fantasy. Probably this proves that age doesn't count?

Any one can play games really... just because the persons a kid, teen, adult... does not really madder. I prefer to play games like Battlefield 2: MC (Xbox Live), Halo 2 (Xbox Live), Age of Empires 3 (PC) those kinda games "RTS". Reat Time Strageties and stuff thats action packed... not much of the story line kinda person.

RPG are for everyone. If anyone who shouldn't be included, it would be the little kids because they don't really know what they are doing. While older and mature people need stratagy to play games such as warcraft and D&D. They actually have to think and plan how to play it out. Games are for everyone

When I was younger (I'm now soon to be 27) I played just about every game genre under the sun and wasn't too bad at Quake - I could kick some butt but as I've gotten older and more mature I've steered away from brainless shoot em ups. I now almost only play RPGs. I find them to be a lot more intelligent than many other genres - the story lines tend to be more developed and there is more interaction between characters and NPCs. Of course, blasting the s*** out of everything in site has it's place (I find it particularly good for stress relief ) but overall I want a game that is going to exercise my mind and not just my trigger fingers. So as to the question of this post - I think it more like the opposite - Teens tend to be more broad where as older people tend to specialise especially in genres like RPG. Of people I know, the older ones tend to be more into RPGs and strategies. I'm sure there is probably some interesting psychology behind it all

Age doesnt matter with RPG's as said, as long as you find them fun to play then who cares. BUT i think as you grow older you tend to not play them as much. You want more out of your games, MMORPG's or FPS's. Cant really put everyone into the "teenager's play RPG's" cause everyones different. I played FF and thought it was rubbish.. lol

I honestly think RPGs are geared towards the kid market. RPGs are slow-paced and open, meaning less death and more fun. It suits the newbs as well. And yes, there is a difference between newbs and kids. Have you seen those 5y/o japanese kids playing online? holy crap they're impressive. But the true skill of an RPG comes when mature members play. The kids can take an RPG only so far, but when it comes down to pure strategy and skill, the older players reign. This is how it should be. That's one reason I didn't like Diablo II very much. Anyone could make a lvl 99 sorc and own everyone else using simple, stand-alone spells and wepaonry. defeated the purpose of ROLE PLAYING. kids play their roles, and we play ours. Just an exmaple to prove maturity gives advantage: Morrowind. I know tons of kids, teens, and even adults who play the game. Kids play the quests, have fun, try to get alot of gold. teens play it for the challenge, often testing one's skills by going headlong against bosses with a forced-weak character just for fun (like a theif). Then there are people like me who use the skills I already knwo to exploit the game as well as make it more interesting with differing scenarios. I'm sure I'm one of only a handful of people who know the exploit on enchanting items with various traits making a god weapon capable of killing everything in a mile radius with one hit *gleam*so yea, RPGs are made for kids. But it's so much more interesting and skillful once the mature players join.

I'll always play videogame, maybe some people call me videogame mania, but yes I am. As a true gamer, it doesn't really matter. I will paly if I like the game, and maybe not if I dislike it.

I don't think age matters... Heck, I started playing RPGs when I was 6! I've always loved the RPG genre. I didn't bother those mindless shooting games at all. (It kinda makes me boil when my 2 kid-cousins keep giving me "instructions" as though I'm some idiot when playing their shooting games) RPGs are life to me. They make me enjoy... make me think when I play... and most of all, make me have fun than any other genre. I've played RPGs since I can remember, and until now... I'm 15, much more mature than I was then. I think that just proves that age doesn't matter.

I think that age plays a small part in your ability to play RPGs, because of READING COMPREHENSION. A lot of RPGs have extremely heavy dialogue, and unless you just zone out and just play the game mechinally, then you aren't going to enjoy an RPG the way it was meant to.Story line is such a big part of RPGs that if you are 12, 20, or 67, it won't really matter if you can't read and understand the basis of everything going on.I myself love to read, and I think this is one of the biggest reasons that I love heavy dialouged RPGs. It's not just A + B, left-down down right-down, A for the ultimate combo, it's comprehending information to better the gaming experience.

It doesn't matter what age you are to play video games, most adults have the conception that once they grow up, video games and other forms of entertainment like cartoons suddenly become to ?immature? for them. What they probably don?t think about is that adults made those cartoons and games and some of the time there are different meanings in cartoons. Games are fine too because they are not as simple as you think, there are strategies, planning, and many different mind boggling activities. You can even learn about business in games like Runescape.

I understand what you are saying but alot of games have alot of kids and kids start to scam take it from me i am a kid Like runescape is alot of kids nothing but kids except zezima wich is the best player hes like 20s

^The poster above me clearly is VERY mature. "LOLZ!" Anyway i don't think age matters when it comes to RPG's.I first played an RPG when I was about 7 or 8. I think it was Final fantasy 7.I managed to get all the way to the Northern crater in disc 3.I still remember quite a lot of the storyline to this day, about 5 or 6 years on.
