Where To Get Codecs? Windows media player

I have few videos but to watch them I need to download codec, I have tryed a lot of codecs but none of them worked ;), I have newest version of Windows media player. So can anyone please post or advice any link where are Windows media player codecs.Please help someone...

were you able to identify what type of codec you are missing? there are other types of codecs used in audio/video to properly run them. maybe what you are missing are not microsoft codecs.

Here is a nice program that contains most needed codecs to play video files, like avi, mpeg.... etc...

It's very nice, I have been using these codecs for like 2-3 years now.

I am prefer using Windows Media Player classic than using WM 10. i only have an old pc at my home.

 

i found K Lite Mega Codec Pack and i think it suitable for me ( i hope u too)

this is big file 28.6MB and this file is freeware.

the one that i have used for the only anime that i watch (Final Fantasy 7) lmao, anyways the only one i use and it works, is DivX, it works fine for me, you can download it Here just click Free Download, and when you install everything take of the divx player, and just get the codec..

It depends on what codecs you are looking for. If you are not sure which codec to download, you can always use the codec pack. They contain most of the common codecs used in current media files.

Otherwise, you can always go to free-codecs.com to search for a particular codec. They are all free to use and download.
