The Worst Thing On The Internet?

Recommended Posts

Worst thing on the internet would have to be the pesky little things that say there free, and then you end up paying. Those short downloadable 15 day program trials get on my nerves too.

Spyware is annoying, it can be easy to remove ,, or hard...viruses dont exactly bother me, as it is up to your own risk if you wanna download somthing and it turns out to be a virus......but the worst thing for me would probably be when u visit an awsome website, you like to genuinly go to, in which their sponsers are porn / webcam networks ;)and you get ad banners, popups etc all over your screen. :)

Just like in real life, it's annoying people. But the annoying people on the internet have ways of looking into your personal stuff and spreading rumors much easier. And people      on boards who have to post every little 'dramatic' thing in their lives like the world would stop if we didn't know that their new dog was house trained or that their boyfriend just said something cute. Or the people who rack up 19000 posts that mostly consist of a single smilie.

All that, and pages that are too wide so you have to scroll sideways.

I love forums, but those people looking for an arguement annoy me. I don't like when people have to comment on how wrong you are in a forum, but offer no solution themselves. I don't like getting into arguements on the web. I think they are childish, and EXTREMELY frustrating. And I HATE side scrolling. **ranting to myself now**

I hate Spam and pop-up advertisements! there are so annoying!! Some spammers are so good, they could still enter your inbox even if you have blocked and filtered you mailbox plenty of times. I especially hate those email which states "You need this to enlarged to penis!" I don't need one" I have above average size penis and I am so much satisfied with it! And those pup-ups that would set themselves into full screen are nothing but Sh*ts! And by the time you have closed them they link you to another pop-up! simple annoying!

hahaha nothing like seeing porn online with your parents. :) That kindof thing has happened to me too. :)
I can't stand the uselessness of search engines nowadays. When you search for something, find *EXACTLY* what you're looking for, click on the link, and... it's a PAGE FULL OF LINKS. ARGH! I hate that! Useless trash/entry pages that should never get into the search engines AT ALL!

Oh and pop-ups without FRAMES! Lots of big companies have started using these, because there not "boxes" and they are transparent in areas... They look "cooler" than normal pop-ups but it's still just a flippin AD! Oh I can never find the stupid x on those ones to be able to close them.

Oh and my mom would probably say the BANNER ads that INCLUDE a "X" close box in the upper-corner of the ad, and then when you click it it takes you to the ad anyway... I have tried to warn her about those... but she still always tries to close them... ;)

What I don't like about the internet are the endless scams, spyware, popups, and viruses. But the scams are what bothers me the most. Scams look so legitamite, yet they are so fraud, I just can't stand them when I see one. But those e-mails from some country in Africa askingfor me to hold money for them are quite funny :)

Yes its always the advertisement, spam, viruses, and spyware. I just hate those things about the internet. I hope it doesn't get worse in the near future. I hope it will be rid of those things. They're just annoying. Or some kind of super ad blocker and spyware blocker. When will it ever be secure??? lol. never..well maybe someday when i'm dead.I also hate site where you have to click an ad to get in to the main page. That's retarded it just makes people not want to visit your page. Another thing is when the server is offline. One day is ok. But like a whole week. wow. that's just heart wrenching. I miss my server. No offence to Xisto. Its my other server. sucky! I think antoher thing is chatroom. I go on AIM to the chatrooms and there are bunch of bots or something and people aim'ing me saying "hey look at my hot webcam." lol. its just stupid and retarded. I don't want to see your cam. For all I know it might be a virus your sending. They're just like "17.female. hot body, looking for hot 20-25 male." weirdos... do your spamming some where else.

I hate worthless websites, I hate hackers who use the internet to get access to other peoples computers. I really hate useless advertisements. I hate scams. But on the bright side I absolutely love chatting, viewing quality websites and forums like Xisto. And my absolute favorite is mmorpg's.

What's a ship-basher?  :)

195584[/snapback]

A ship is a fictional pairing between two characters from a book of a movie (wee Wiki). A ship-basher is someone who supports a relationship that is conflict with the one you support. They can't stand the fact that you think differently, and so they try to convert you not with reason but with petty insults.

Person A: I think X and Y are a cute couple because their personalities are complementary. Besides, this pairing would serve to convey the key themes of the novel...

Person B: OMg! Ewww... U blind? X and Y?! That's just gross! They hate each other! It's like peanut butter and mustard...

I've had the 'peanut butter and mustard' argument thrown at me once ;).
