Msn Or Google Maps? Which is better

Recommended Posts

I have recentally compared both msn and google maps. both are great services, but which is better? Well google maps is certinally more popular but..... Msn maps has a great ZOOM function! it can zoom much further than google maps can. most of the pictures from msn are the same as the ones from google except for one funny thing; on Msn Maps when you try to go to the apple headquarters and see it from above, all you see is a dirt ground! My question is, is this an old picture or is it somebody from Microsoft trying to block out there competiters? I don't know but either way it's pretty funny. If you want to see this try it for yourself!Feel free to put any comments on this post.Thanx David H. :D

I like Google maps, they run quicker, look better and think the moon is made of cheese!

LOL, I don't think it's what gamingnews mean, what he mean is Google Earth( https://www.google.com/earth/ ) not google moon that you're taking about ( https://www.google.com/moon/ ) :D I think MSN is better, and I love the tricks when I reel my wheel mouse :D , it can zoom out and in easily.

Yeah it's a bit odd, Apple HQ just displayed as a dirt or more likely run track in Microsoft Virtual Earth :D

I used to use a program called world wind some of you may have heard of it and it really is better than all the maps cos it downloads pictures str8 from sattelites i dont know the website exactly but if you google it and type WorldWind 1.3 it will come out its a great software if you live in the USA cos you can zoom into cities so much that you will be able to see cars highways and etc ....the program is about 130 MB not that big btw if you live in europe or somewhere else you will not be able to zoom as further as in the USA :D

I like Google maps because they show alot of detail I mean I can see my cousin's house on it how cool is that. I couldn't find my house though so that makes it not as cool as it could be.

Google earth rocks... love it... I just wish they'd get some more hi res images loaded, I can't see my house, but I created some overlays that show it in hi-res. MSN is good, but it just doesn't compare to Google Earth, maybe if they work on it a while they can beat it out.

Note: That's google earth not google maps, the two services are similare and use much of the same data, but they are not quite the same, google earth allows you to zoom in more and fly from one postion to the next. Blows away google maps, and is better by a long shot than MSN Earth.

Google Earth replaces the program Keyhole. It is an interactive globe where you can zoom in and see satalite images of anywhere in the world, and aerial photographs of many regions in North america, and a few aerial photos from other spots in the world. There is also a whole community of folks trying to find interesting things in google earth, and let me tell you there are some bizzare things in it, everything from possible UFO sightings, to strange crop circles. Check it out at https://www.google.com/earth/
