Dynomite 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2005 The second and the last two seem to be taken down or something. But nice I've been wondering where everyone found those graphics. Are all of the old Google pages/logos there? Maybe we can find them. My favorite is the devil...

Saint_Michael 3 Report post Posted August 2, 2005 the thing is though they only change the header info and not the whole system, yeah it would take awhile to comb through 9 billion pages worth of websites but hey who knows.
moldboy 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2005 spread the word.... the devils on google a field i recognize this from somewhere too bad it cant fly none of those are easter eggs, they are just special google search features, for example if you go to the linux google and search microsoft would get linux based results not generic results (i.e. https://www.microsoft.com/de-de), it coud be said that if you wanted to search for freeware for you're linux system without worrying about microsoft software you should try here. Alternativle if you search for the government of canada, on the unclesam version you don't get the normal result you would get from google.com (canada.gc.ca), so if you only want pages pertaining to american content try using the uncle sam search, although I will admit the easter bunny one could probably be considered an easter egg. But the defination (according to google) of an easter egg is # a hidden program or feature in a webpage. bcn.boulder.co.us/volunteer/training/class/webgloss.html # A hidden feature, picture, or sound clip found in nearly all pieces of software. Easter eggs can be a hidden mini game, a funny picture of the development crew, or simply a programmer's name. Easter eggs are also found in DVD movies, so look out for them in the menus. http://www.playstationpro2.com/game-dictionary.shtml # A hidden "surprise" in a program or Web site, such as a message or an extra level in a computer game. http://www.compulabel.com/index.asp # A surprise feature which is not apparent, but when clicked on does something special. Sometimes takes the form of an extra level in a game or an animation message of some kind. Programmers sometimes bury Easter Eggs in their programs or web sites to add extra depth and challenge users to find them. They are messages, sound effects, or graphics emitted by a program in response to a set of keystrokes or commands, intended as a joke or to display program credits. Easter Eggs are sometimes imbedded into the object code of a program and are intended to be found http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ # A hidden, undocumented program sequence built into a program that only activates when you press the right keys. They are often funny, and are often used to introduce the team that developed the program. https://www.hugedomains.com/domain_profile.cfm?d=ukorbit&e=com # A cute little message or useless function programmers hide inside their software's user interface. Clicking on a hotspot or typing in a password can trigger an Easter Egg. http://www.metromemetics.com/thelexicon/e.asp there are of corse a bunch more, to many to list. but they all say hidden, and I particularly like the last one, useless. the three you mentioned first are quite useful and aren't hidden...google.com >> more... >> special searches. AKA https://www.google.com/intl/en/options/specialsearches.html there is also an apple mac version. Now as for the languages, they are harder to classify, as there is no purpose to them other then for the programmers to have a good time, and of corse the viewers. but they certanly aren't hidden either... google.com >> Language tools. Ingrid 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2005 Although they are not really eastereggs, they are funny Too bad I can't see the Elmer Fudd one, he says he can't find it :DI played a game once in which there was a pretty good very useless easteregg. You had to scroll down in the menu for like a couple of minutes and then there were a couple of words, I don't know anymore which ones, but they were sure useless :DI don't think google has one of those.. Someone willing to check out? Scroll down for an hour or so
