How To Tweak Firefox

Recommended Posts

If your using Mozila firefox I've just found out how to tweak your browser so everything loads 30x faster if your using broadband, there will be a large amount in difference when your using firefox, this loading times are amazing, so this is how you do it;Open your Firefox browser. Then in the address bar type in: about:configThen a list will come up, scroll down to these entries;network.http.pipeliningnetwork.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests(Normally the browser will make one request for images on a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make serveral different parts of the page load at once, which really speeds up page loading.)Now you need to alter the following to "true", To do this just double click on itYou need to set;Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once(Network.http.pipelinking.maxrequests is a reasonable number at 30 and can be increased for your will!)Finally, right click anywhere you link side your browser, and it will come up;CopyNameCopyValueNew >ToggleResetYou will need to now click on NEW, then Ingeger. It will now ask you to create a name for the button, call it;nglayout.initialpaint.delayThen you will be asked for a value, put it as "0"When using broadband your connection speed within firefox should increase drematically!Guevara
