round 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2005 I'm working on a new site, and would really like to use the opacity functions in dhmtl but i'm just wondering how stable it is. It is super important that most browsers see it so i've found a script for both mozilla ( very difficult to find) and one for ie. but now i'm just at a cross roads. Anyone have any thoughts, has every used it and it all went bad. Seems stupid but the site i'm working on is like over 500 pages and i don't want to start out bad.round Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Saint_Michael 3 Report post Posted July 12, 2005 wow 500 i wouldn't worry about using dhtml i say go 100% php with that many pages. but opcity, i havn't really seen and or used it but with the amount of content your asking dhtml is going to fry your page due to loading time it takes. I remember reading this article at alistapart about png transparency combined with dhtml which will let you have cross browser transparency, which I hope is what youre looking for.
