green fairy 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2005 I'll just show you all how to do this. It's actually pretty easy. 1) Open a new transparent document and use the type tool to create some text (use a big font with space between the letters). I will be using Uzusi: 2) Now hold in Ctrl while you click on the text layer. This should select your text: 3) Now with your text selected, all you need to do is copy an image you want to use to the clipboard. I am using this image, but you can of course use whatever you want. 4) After copying, go Edit -> Paste Into. My result now looks like this: 5) Click right on the image layer and go to blending options. 6) Drop shadow, bavel and emboss, + add some contour. It's better if you just use your own settings here to see what looks good. My image text turned out like this: Here are some other styles I did:

snlildude87 0 Report post Posted July 26, 2005 Good stuff, but I prefer my text to be slighting transparent. By the way, that first style (the blue one), it's really ugly. I have no idea what Photoshop was thinking when they made that.

mayank 2 Report post Posted August 28, 2005 well very nice tutorial but i was just wondering about the topic...it says create text with images...i think we have not created the text with the images but we have put a style with the images....so i think topic must be something like "create stylish text with images" ;)anyways this is a very nice tutorial...at least will help me while creating the SIGS...because i am very bad at text...as others have written in their reviews of my SIGS!
