Runescrap is the WORST mmorpg i have EVER played. If you go there you will be nerdified then the noobs will begin cussing at you. You will see scamming every way you turn and a w*o*e on every corner you see. Runescrap has the worst community worst graphics and crappy amount of items. If you pay 5 bucks a month for that, there is no point in keeping your money go throw it to the hobos then use it to play runescape. If you want a GOOD mmorpg try looking twords conqueronline.com muonline.com (im not sure about that website but google Mobius online) Ragnarok.something and http://www.thedarkkingdom.sferahost.com//?gtnjs=1 (FSO game not released yet but has more features then terraworld) terragaming.something lots lots more go to ORPG.com they have tons of GOOD mmorpgs and runescape is at the last page

I would have to agree that Runescape is the worst mmorpg. But some good mmorpg's are Mu Online, Lineage 2, WoW and Ragnarok. Yes I know all these mmorpg's are for pay but you can search on google for private servers and you will find a lot for most of them, except for WoW which only has a few. Hope this helps

hey all,A few free mmorpgs are anarchy online. and guild wars. Guild wars you have to buy the game but the online portion is free to all. Anarchy online is free for the regular version but if you want to upgrade you can buy the key then you have to pay monthly to play. to put it this way anarchy online is huge. it has about 15 million quests that can be completed. You can start your own clan. you can also buy cities to have for businesses so that you can make more money. and everyday it seems is a new patch that can be uploaded so that you have more quests to do and more fun for the game. it is endless so play and have fun. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

I have to agree with the others that say that RuneScape sucks. I've played it and got bored in a few minutes. The graphics are horrid as well. I really have no clue why so many people play and like it.

There's also a few MMORPGs that have an anime-like appearance. I know of two, Maple Story and Rose Online.

 

Here's an MMORPG that's quite different from the other free ones. Instead of a hack-and-slash type of game set in a fantasy world, Face Of Mankind is a Science Fiction MMORPG. I have only had the time to play it for a little while, but it seems awesome so far...
