if i go buy a cable that connects from my phone to my computer do u know of any websites that offer a program or something that converts the files into phone music files...or can i just use mp3 files or is there any special things i have to do

heyya there, just search in http://www.tagtag.com/ (from you GPRS enabled phone), or mywap.o2.ukboth of them provide hosting for wap site. well i use the DKU cables for nokia and just go out and buy one of those midi compilation cds and just download em into the phone...well thats one way, i did this after i searched on the net for ages trying to find free ringtones but they always end up going around and around with links and you never get anything.

the best way is to buy a cable that connects ur phone to ur computer. u can then download ringtones to ur computer and from there to ur mobile phone.there are a no.. of s/w that are available, one wud come with the cable.It also depends on the make of ur phone and whether it supports it.another way is to use a composer on ur phone if one is available... u wud get decent tone.. (definitely not mp3 sorts...)if u want good ones, ur phone wud have to be supporting it, and such phone also support bluetooth... so there ur......Cheers.

The best place for ringtones that I've found http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ . If you don't see the ringtone you want you can even request to have them post it.

It's really easy, you just upload the song you want, cut out a part you want for the ringtone, save it and put it on your phone! And it's free!

I love this because generally, I can't find ringtones of songs I like, since they are more obscure. But this way, I get to make the exact ringtone I want with the song I want.

I should mention though that I re-saved the file as a mp3 for it to work on my motorola, but after that, it worked fine!

Really cool site, you can actually take your favorite songs from itunes and convert them into a ringtone for your phone. (It only works on mp3 files however). Its actually very easy to do and u just get the link in a text message to download you're ringtone once its finished compressing and converting to the format. Be sure you know which type of file it accepts, one way to find out is buying a ringtone first and then checking the type of filetype it is. Hope you find this site useful for making your own ringtone.

Another one is http://www.mytinyphone.com/  You can get really good ringtones and occasionally you can get a full length song. You can search what ringtone/song you want then go through the links. WAP based. Oh and zedge is good...But I like mytinyphone better.
