  1. So far it seems quite handy in that you can have your gmail accounts within one application. But that's about it. Google probably needs to sort out a mesenger service and incorporate within a personalised search. Once they bolt everything together they'll be a bit special.
  2. I've only really used wordpress and mambo. Mambo is a fantastic little content management system with plenty of modules, components and a relatively easy admin in which to utilise it.BTW - has anyone managed to install drupal via fantastico?
  3. I very much doubt if they'll be free again in a year. However, for a year of free domain use it's not a bad effort. Once you all start getting credit cards, you'll be able to buy a .com. Now there's something to look forward to.
  4. Are you talking about integrating a blog into a site or a stand alone blog itself?
  5. Just go through the motions as you would if you were getting any old domain. The .info domains are free and you're allowed 25.
  6. Fernan:That's one hell of a spot. Top work. And I have to admit it's actually legit. Got signed, sealed and delivered in less than 5 mins.
  7. If you go to freesticky.com & you can choose which newsfeed you want then place it on your website yourself.
  8. You can try https://morguefile.com/ And do a search on google for stock-xchange. If you go to elemetopia.com or elated.com they have links to various free stock photo sites.
  9. Good grief. I'd be more inclined to send my hard-earned to Dr. Phillip Katore of the Ivory Coast who has $80 billion of unsecured loans that he just needs to give away on behalf of his government. It's not even a good looking scam.
  10. Nice and simple and effective. The navigation and the perspective style is nicely done. My only slight criticism would be to make your lettering smoother on the homepage. Are you going to release it for other people to use?
  11. I just find it annoying. The frame is annoying - the orange text on a black background is annoying - the fact that it doesn't fit into your browser is annoying. it's just not user friendly enough. I would never use a designer who left bits of their site out or just had little bits missing from their titles.
  12. Content should win over design every time. There are far too many folk making fancy dan websites with nothing to say that your average joe finds impossible to use. Saying that, it does look a little 1999.
  13. I've sent you an email with a couple of sites to look at and the search terms to look for.All the best chief.
  14. The title is too long and is just a list of keywords. You need to focus your keywords - think about what your business is and does. I noticed you have 460 results when you do a search for benjancreations on google. Autolinks should be ok so olong as you don't link to irrelevant sites. Google prefers relevant links ie sites that are similar to yours. Google doesn't want you to be linking to viagra sites and such and since the Florida update has penalised sites accordingly. Try http://www.linkmarket.com/ Don't worry about dmoz - they can take ages to list you. Is your site a frames site? How did you make it? All your pages seem to end in index.html. I strongly advise you to sort your title and description out as well as your page copy. That would be the first thing.
  15. I do design websites for people but I'm not a web designer. With regards to the technical side I'm not too clever when it comes to php etc. The problem most web designers have is that they build a nice, shiny site then the client wonders why it isn't working. You should optimise as the site is being built. Optimising as an afterthought is much harder work and a damn sight more expensive. The time it takes to optimise a website can depend on a few things. One of the most basic ones is how competitive your keyword is. For example, web design is almost pointless and impossible to optimise for. But, cheap web design ohio isn't. There are varying degrees of optimisation. And no site is ever optimised when you take into consideration link building and search engines changing the way they index sites. The basic things anyone can do is: #1 Consider what your keywords are and check them out at https://www.wordtracker.com/ #2 Write your website copy with these keywords in mind. #3 Write your meta tags with your keywords in mind. #4 Submit to various directories by hand and start linking to relevant websites. I like your site, but their are just a few problems you can sort fairly quickly. #1 Your title and description are just keyword lists - your title should be shorter and your description should basically describe. #2 Your native language obviously isn't English so your general website copy seems a little odd to English speakers and to spiders alike. Is it a relatively new site? I see you have a few backlinks. I think you're going in the right direction. Most of all - be patient - these things can take time y'know.
  16. Well all my sites rank well - and that's not blowing my own trumpet. None of them are huge though. Some are flash, some are html. It requires time more than anything else. If you install google toolbar and check the pagerank slider you will know whether you are banned or not. It should be green or just white. if it is grey you've been banned. If you post the url I can check it.Doorways do work - don't get me wrong and most black hat seo works too with google. They aren't known for being too clever at weeding this stuff out. However, when they do you'll get bombed out of the water. If you want proper seo advice and forums go to http://www.seochat.com/
  17. I have tried cloaking webpages and I've never known it to increase my serps. However, I don't deny that with a new site that has a cloaked domain with a shorter url would rank better than a non-optimised site with a long irrelevant url.I have one site that ranks #1 on google for its search terms with the subdomain url, but can't be found with its cloaked url. Google tends to look for the most relevant of the two domain names and chooses one over the other. Cloaking is also known as Aname pointing whereas a Cname permanent redirect will change all your records to your new domain name and should keep your serps. You can use white hat or black hat seo techniques. Just don't moan when your black hat techniques get you banned.
  18. has anyone used 000k.net?they'd been leading the freewebhosting reviews right until their cpanel licence ran out and the bastard scarpered. or something along those lines. he may have had several sleepless nights trying to sort it out - but somehow i doubt it.
  19. how long does it actually take, on average, to get signed up for this lot?they say if you're willing to take a Xisto.com subdomain your account will be set up immediately.and how long have they been hosting for?i have recently switched to micfo.com. exceptional customer service and really rather cheap. i wouldn't dream of placing a client's website on a free host.if Xisto are any good i'll pay for them in the long run.i just have to get signed up first.
  20. as far as i can gather it's a combination of a few thing which help your serps. meta tags on their own won't get you anywhere, but if your keywords are placed carefully throughout your page at the right density without spamming then you're getting somewhere. then you start the laborious task of finding link partners and getting backlinks to your site with your most important keywords. it's fairly simple but also fairly time consuming.if you want to check your site out for all this crap go to seo doctor(do a google search for it)
  21. just spam some forums. it'll get you traffic and get you listed.
  22. this lot aren't bad and you get email forwarding to boot. you can also turn the ads off. they do appear to have fairly daft subdomain names such as de.ff and suchlike. They have stats too and favicons. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  23. you can get email forwarding with a domain for peanuts. damn, you can even get it for free but not with a .com extension unfortunately. has nobody heard of google?there are only a few 'free' domain hosts out there and they are mostly subdomain hosts.
