  1. Maelstrom of disasterAn enigmatic engine, ravenous and cruelParasitic infection, leeching fuelEternally spitting fumes, dirt and dustLeaving the rest to rot and rustEarthly saints, what a disasterTell me, prophets, is this the future?Nightmares of pollution, destruction and fearAs carnage sweeps past, widespread and clearA life of machines, is this our desire?Reflection of flames, rising fireSmog envelopes the lacerated skyPoisoning our lives with filthy liesWhere has the sun gone - Lost in shadows?A symbol of brilliance in tales once toldOmnipotence fading into obscuritySuch is the sad tale of our reality.Where has all the beauty gone? The soaring clouds and ancient treesWere they simply facades of a dying god? Were they ephemeral delusions, finally freed? Can we repent and bring back the innocence? Can we change, and vanquish malevolence? Can we atone, and bring back eternal beauty? Can we reform, and return everlasting love?In desperation, we stand before an altarTo atone for our sins, of treason and greedIt is of no use, the lord will not answerFreewill he has granted, and will remain freed
  2. Corny? Don't worry... I probably write more corny poems than anyone else... Example? >_>Battlefield hymnTimeless plains, once so greenAre now stained by human greedInnocent flowers - drenched in redGallant souls now lost in vainThe march of invaders can be heardHigh in the air as banners unfurlWith weapons divine, untouched by dirtThey have arrived, sly motives clearBlood will be shed in this nightAs thousands battle deep in strifeHeroes will fall and cowards shall dieVultures circle the blood red skyThe archers have fired, their aim so trueArrows of ice unleashed in flightNo mercy, no warning, for the unwary and lostInto the hearts of many they strikeClashes of steel resound on the fieldAs many a man draw their last breathValiant warriors condemned and lostClear is the vision - the coming of deathBattlefields of hate, hidden to allDisguised by lies, played out in warsPondering on the battles thenWhen will the bloodshed end?I cringe when reading this.
  3. 7/10. For no rhyme or reason =P I just felt like writing that.
  4. Azure Skies Whenever the sun shines its brilliance Upon a blackened land The darkness flees, the tirade ends As evil retreats deep Whenever the moon rises Above a dying land Its purity, its eloquent glow Guides travelers to their tasks Whenever the stars twinkle Constant, in their place Constellations, of many, occur A universal map ablaze Whenever the shooting stars fall Leaving a trail of dust Many wish for a chance to stand tall Proud among the rest Whenever the aurora glows With swirling, shimmering colours of light Its beauty captivates and flows To charm ones soul to take flight Whenever a rainbow appears On an aftermath of rain You will know it?s not wizards work Merely miracles of the sky. Of the buried and lost What lies beneath the sands? Shards of a once gleaming sword Belonging to a man Whose valor has led him to fought For what is just and right What lies beneath the blight? A rotten page, torn and tattered Belonging to a scribe In which wisdom was once collected Now gone and forever lost What lies beneath the lake? An ancient rune of unknown powers Belonging to a mage Before the flood, there was a tower In which in it, it laid What lies beneath the graves? Scattered corpses and decayed bones Belonging to the dead Disease had taken its massive toll And death followed suit What lies beneath the heart? Feelings and emotions, scattered and blown Belonging to thyself Wondering minds and pondering souls Of the ones who are buried and lost Eyes on the world With your eyes on the world What can you see? Plains of innocence, flowers and trees Blown gently by the evening breeze That is what I see. With your eyes on the world What can you see? Oceans of bliss, an expanse of blue Encompassing the shores of gloom That is what I see. With your eyes on the world What can you see? Mountains of strength, robust and tall A crowning sight in light of dawn That is what I see. With your eyes on the world What can you see? Forests of old, blooming in grace For those that seeks an unknown place That is what I see. With your eyes on the world What can you see? Magic, wizards and unperformed deeds Wondrous feats that lures one to greed That is what I see. Without your eyes, blind to all What can you sense? Darkness, Nothingness, an ending tale Of the ones that - in life - had failed That is what awaits. ------------------------------------ Well, thats about it... Any comments?
