I have a question.Is it possible to combine some these??Say you would model something in 3Ds Max and then import it into maya for rendering forinstance.If yes has anybody had done this before and what are the results?

VOTE: 3Ds MaxThis is based on the fact that 3Ds max the only 3D programme is I`ve ever worked with.I heard some good things about maya too but the thing is I had a hard time begining to understand 3Ds max and don`t think I`ll have the patience to start all over with a new 3D package.

Are there any 3dsMax users on the board because I need some help

I`m using "Brazil Rio" renderer for this scene. Are you a 3ds max user? if so can I ask you for help if I need it? because I learned 3ds max all by myself so you could imagine that I know actually verry little compare to 3ds Max`s full power. Verry often I have a design in my head but could not realize it simply because I don`t know every modify technieque.

Yeah I`m thinking of an "air-intake" design for the sides it`isn`t something I wanna rush into because that will change the whole appearance of the car and the air-intakes should be eye catchers so I`m taking my time tying out a lot of different shapes till I got the right one.I`m glad you like it at least now I can say that one person likes my design.I`ll keep you posted on the progress. ps: funny detail tho my system broke down and now I`m actually designing on a PIII 466Mhz desktop LOL

Hey ya`ll it`s been a while since the last time I posted at asta but I just got a new internet connection so I will be online more often again. Back to topic, I started designing a car with 3ds max and I`m actually curious about what other poeple think of it so far. The bodywork is not finished and it has no details yet plus the enviroment isn`t set up as it should so don`t mind the wierd wheel reflections on the windsheild just rate the overall design and feel free to make suggestions. I was designing some new rims in 3D Studio Max and when I rendered the rims out to see how the chrome material looked I got this image. I think it looks awasome in the black enviroment with only the reflection of one of my photoshop designs in itm but hey that`s just me, what I want to know is what do you all think of it. Do you think it looks good too or I`m I the only one who thinks so?!!

I`m just letting you all know that my system is up and running properly again, but thnx anyways everybody.

I have this huge problem which is the following.I just formatted my HD and re-installed Win XP,but now after I install Service Pack 2 my computer won`t get online.Can someone please help me out here? I`m realy stuck.ThnX in advance

Hey all, I`ll come str8 to the point. I need help finding out what`s wrong whit my computer. My problem is this two days ago I walked pass my computer case and accidentely hit my bluethoot USB stick that was pluged into my computer.At that moment my computer shut down,I tried to boot immediately and no it didn`t boot. When I hit my power switch ,my cpu(Intel Celeron 2.4Ghz) fan starts turning like usual the HD`s do switch on too but nothing else happends. The monitor doesn`t switch on after listening closely i found out the HD`s weren`t beeing read neither.Now my question is what can be the cause of this? Is my cpu broken or my BIOS or motherboard or could it be the RAM? I have no idea.As broke as I am at this moment I can`t afford to take my pc to get fixed so basicly I`ll have to find out what`s broken and try to fix it myself. Your background realy do have potential but it`s your sigs as a whole that don`t come out nicely.But the thing to it is, keep at it and be willing to learn from others.saint-michael gave you the exact (well almost) comment/advice I would`ve.And oh yeah "ikenalleenik" you selfish bstrd LOL

Oh yeah about the white matte around them can someone help me out saving the images without it?ps: sorry about my double post

I still haven`t fix the distortions but as I see nobody has seen that last render either so I still got some time lol.

I hope the next render seem more real to you ps: in this close-up I discovered a few flaws in the rims, the two buttom spokes are distorted I`ll fix that in the morning. anyway here is the next render

OOh by the way for the poeple that want to know what the text on the wall in the background mean: It sais "Elveryle" that`s my real name and it`s pronounced sorta like elforeal, that`s how I got the nick anyway....

I`ve always loved th idea of motor games but non of the games so far has satisfied me, simply because the physics all sucked *ss.Now if you`re right and this one is going to be a "Polyphony Digital" production than I guess there`s still hope for this genre.I haven`t heard anything about this game yet but I will be looking into it for shure.I hope "Polyphony Digital" can achieve the level of Gran Turismo with this game too,I would realy appreciate a motor racing game that handles well and looks good as Gran Turismo does in it`s class.Keep me posted if you find out more post it please, I`ll do the same if I can find any news on this topic.El
