  1. There have been great songs and general soundtracks at the films for years. Some songs are especially touching while some give great energy to the pictures. But which one's the best? Although I think it's a really tough choice I think that I would go for either Lord of the Rings or James Bond. The James Bond intro song is just unbeatable, while the Lord of the Rings has really high quality music running all the way through the film. What do you think?
  2. Why do you support whatever sports team you support? Is it because you actually have strong attatchments to the area or do you just enjoy the success and big fanbase etc.?
  3. It seems that most people haven't played the earlier games in the series. Addmittedly, I've only played 2, 3 and Underground, but it looks like the earlier games were better because, even though they only have tracks and no free-roam, they have alot more difference in the types of tracks and cars. The graphics are better in Underground but they ruin it by only having one city and it just gets boring. Most Wanted looks as if its better, although I hope it has more variation than Underground 2.
  4. I'm not a great traveller, and so I haven't been to a great many places, but the best I've been to would almost certainly be Lee Abbey in Devon, UK. It's got everything from a pebley beach (not great for sunbathing but great for throwing stones), a fantastic sea, hills, waterfalls and forests - even its own little canyon, which is quite rare for the UK! Plus the people and food down there is really awesome, definitely recommended!
  5. I've been wanting to learn either guitar or piano for a while now but I just haven't got round to it.
  6. So, what do people actually think's going to happen in the last book, now the sixth one is out of the way. Personally I think that Hogwarts will stage the final battle between Voldemort and the others and they'll be all the magical creatures fighting each other etc. What do other people think? Or do people just read the books and take in what happens then?
  7. There definitely aren't any fatalities and only one person was injured. It sounds as if it was a pretty lame set of attacks by the look of things...especially with London on red alert.
  8. I didn't know who died until I read that bit in the book and I was really surprised. That bit of the book is just electric, though. I thought that this book was fantastic and a ral inprovement on the 5th one which went on longer than it needed to and had just the right ammount of interesting diologue and fantastic action. My favourite so far, with the possible exception of Prisoner of Azkaban.
  9. I don't think its really fair to blame "the gods". I certainly wasn't, and i don't think most other people were, implying that gay people should be insulted and bullied, merely discussing the theory of whether its right or not. I may be wrong here, and if I am so then I apologise, but I think that the MAGORITY, not all, of gay relationships are not orionated towards love. They are merely directed towards a physical nature in their own sex that they find appealing. This is hardly suprising in a world where indecent male bodies are thrown at us almost as much as female ones. A few gays may be genuinely in love but, as I say, i believe that most gay relationships are directed towards a physical attraction rather than a love for the person. As I also say, I may be wrong, but that's what I think.
  10. I love:1) Gladiator - I can't believe more people haven't mentioned it.2) Matrix - Awesome action and storyline, although didn't like reloaded and haven't seen 3rd one3) Lord of the Rings - a classic4) Pulp Fiction - it has the best plot in film history if you haven't seen it.
  11. Its interesting that some people hate them because they're not as good as the books and some people hate them because they just think the films r crap.
  12. I just love Homer. I think we should take our hats off to the creators for finding new ways to be stupid every program, although I love Smithers and Mr Burns as well.
  13. Not forgetting that God, given that He exists as I believe He does, is not visible and will not necessarilly bring down lightning whenever u talk to Him. God chooses not to poke His head out of the sky whenever someone in in trouble or needs to pray because He wants people to some to Him in faith, rather than like a robot obeying the big face in the clouds because they have no choice. Prayer is a direct conversation with God and, while not vital to being a Christian, certainly hinders your faith if you don't pray. It means that you can't get directions from the guy who's got the big map. Of course you can poke holes in prayer because from the outside it just looks like people are talking to thin air but it is really worthwhile.
  14. I think that USA's a pretty nice place but I would find it difficult to live there as I currently live in the UK and there are so many different things between the two, notably language, sports, climate, transport etc.
  15. I wondered what people feel about this? I personally believe that it's wrong and wouldn't mind chatting to others who believe otherwise to see what they think.
  16. There are 2 in our house, but one is vv old.
  17. Surely that defeats the point of the British Broadcasting Corp if they're in Canada. It should be the CBC, and I'm not sure if Canadians would appreciate all the British programmes, but maybe im wrong?
  18. Is it just me, or is "rock" a bit vague. I know some people who play quite mellow stuff that they describe as rock while a punk rock band would label themselves under the same topic. By the way I like Franz Ferdinand and Delirious?
  19. I don't know about u but I think there's been two major problems with the HP films so far.Philosopher's Stone was well and faithfully portrayed in terms of sets and things, but the child acting was frankly painful at times and the plot was probably the least sofisticated of all the Harry Potter books.Chamber of Secrets is probably my favourite film so far in the series. The plot is quite good and the action scenes are really quite decent. The acting is still not quite up to scatch from some members of the cast (like Daniel Radcliffe and the actor who plays Ron) but, overall, not a bad effort.I really disliked Prisoner of Azkaban. The acting was solid all the way through for once, but I was disappointed to see that the film disregarded all the rest of the Harry Potter franchise in terms of books, films and games in several areas. For a start there appears to be a fifty foot gap down to Hagrid's hut and a bridge that certainly wasn't there and in fact was filmed as not being there in the other two films. The pupils aren't in school uniform either for about 95% of the film, which is weird. The dementors fly, instead of the gliding along the ground described in the books. Srry I do tend to go off on one about PoA.Moving on, the Goblet of Fire teaser trailer is now out, available via the Harry Potter website at /harrypottermovie?_fb_noscript=1 and through http://www.mugglenet.com/. I think it looks really decent and should be interesting come November. So, what do others think? I certianly know that some people have been very sceptical about tht HP films, and the frachise in general, but others love them.
  20. I think that you can't really say "games" encourage violance any more than you can say that "people" get enraged by them. There are many different types of games and even the most violent games aren't necessarilly damaging. It depends upon the age of the person playing the game, and for how long and entensely they play it.
  21. The game isn't as gd as i thought it would be when i bought it. All the maps, except for about 5 like Minas Tirith are vertually the same, which is rubbish seeming as there are about 50 maps in the game. In the maps it all seemed pretty repetative as well, as u can only build bases at special points on the map rather than in general areas like the Age of Empires.
  22. I just hope they manage to fix some of the bugs and stuff in it like in FIFA 2005. I found I got loads of commentary bugs, like saying I was top of the league when i was really in mid-table. I was also stuck between the top two difficulty levels after a while which takes all enjoyment out of the game Im sure FIFA 06 will be gd however, especially a Pro Evo is very much a console game and doesn't really have much attraction on the PC
  23. Whatever u say about the King Kong trailer, it is loyal to the origional. Im probably one of the few people to have seen the origional King Knog film, black and white and all. It just seems like a remake of the origonal, although I thought that was fairly tame so maybe ur right. I also like Jacksons filmmaking and I think that this is probably as worthy as any followup to LOTR u could do.
