Largest Known Prime Number A very long number...
lotrfan replied to sonyguy's topic in General Discussion
Has anybody seen the movie "Proof"? It was about a girl who figured out how to calculate really big prime numbers. It was a gret movie. Look it up on the internet, its fairly new. -
Your Name In Chinese what does your name in chinese look like
lotrfan replied to snlildude87's topic in General Discussion
This is really neat! My name is Matthew and this is what it looks like in chinese: Now I just need to figure out how to start writing that on everything. What would happen if you endorsed a check like that? No one said it had to be in english!! -
One of my friends took me to this super cool website: http://www.thinkgeek.com/ it has all sorts of realyl cool gadets and other things. There is even an entire section devoted to things you can have fun with in your office cubicle. They have a lot of technology helper items as well. I just had to share the site with everyone else. My favorite thing on there is the device that records key strokes on a computer. What do you like best?

I agree, the PSP seems to be the best available. It has a lot of great features, good games and movies, and great graphics. Although it is pretty expensive, it is definetly worth the price.
-
Yeah, I got it when it first came out. It took me nearly 6 months but I finally got through the whole game. It was really fun to play and the polt twists made it all the more captivating.

I think that Final Fantasy X was the best. It had great graphics, developed plot, cool characters, and it was action packed. Not only is it my favorite FF game, but it is also one of my favorite RPG games ever.

I agree, the games are what makes a console. I've always been a PS fan, so I'll probably end up buying the PS3 but I never make a desicion before looking at what I'll be able to play.

I don't drink because I have seen what it can do to other people who do it. Most start out as the "casual drinker" but they almost always find themselves becoming alcoholics with serious problems. It impairs your judgement while your drunk which could cause you to do things to jepordize yourself or the people around you. In the long term, alcohol breaks down brain cells which can't regenerate and you eventually end up a shadow of your former self. All of these things keep me away from the stuff.

I was just wondering how most people learned what they know about HTML. I learned it from online help sites, looking at some examples and even "HTML For Dummies". I think I did it the slow, hard way because it took me months before I was able to create even a simple site but now, about four years after I first began, I have a fairly nice website up and running. I know that a lot of people are self taught like me but many also take classes, read books, or get help from friends. How did you do it?

I too have played that game and found it very interesting. It works a lot of politics into the game and that makes it very deep. However, after about a month or so, the excitement of the game seems to wear dow a bit.

I have been playing Kings of Chaos for over three years now. It is a really great game and involes a lot of tough stategy to survive and grow into a powerful province. The team work that goes on within the kingdoms makes the game even more fun and you get to interact and form alliances or declare war with other kingdoms. It is a great game for all sorts of people.

My favorite character from a game would have to be Revan from KotOR. He is a powerful character and has a complex personality/ plot line. He is both fun and easy to play in the game.

I don't really have that much of an artistic touch, but I think that it looks good. I agree that the text could be changed a little to make it look a bit better.

I know that this said what is your favorite movie, but I love the entire Star Wars Saga and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy with equal undying love. I must say that I can not choose a paticular episode or book from either collection as my favorite.

Personally, the camera phone it best. It allows you to take pictures of anything, anywhere. It is a really awesome tool that you can use to stay in better contact with friends and family.

Favorite Game Soundtracks Whats your favorite OST?
lotrfan replied to Tseng's topic in Computer Gaming
My favorite game soundtrack is from Morrowind: The Elder Scrolls. It has a lot of different "back ground" music types. Much like KOTOR, this music adds to the suspense of the game. This is especially true of hard core battle scenes when the music is crazy. It also helps pass the time from one main event to another. -
It would be really awesome if dragons had once existed or still exist today but I highly doubt that they ever did. It seems more likely that they are just some creative idea of story tellers to capture the audience or perhaps something that warriors created to make people think that they battled great, fire-breathing creatures and survived to tell the tale. Who knows though? Anything is possible.

Forum Users Age What is the average Forum Users age?
lotrfan replied to ckuehner's topic in General Discussion
I'm 17. It seems like there are a lot of other people here around my age. Its not surprising though because that seems to be the case on most of the fourms that I post at. 17 is a good age. Old enough to watch R-rated movies but not old enough to have to pay taxes. I'm dreading this next birthday. -
Prayer Sucks! what the heck do you people do it for?
lotrfan replied to spawn_syxx9's topic in The Vent
I am a Catholic and I do believe strongly in God. I guess the reason I pray is because the same reason you don't. I belive that there is a God and he will help me if I pray to him and ask for help and guidance. You don't believe a God exists so from your point of view, prayer must look pretty wierd. I have always known that there is a greater diety that controls the ways of the universe. This is just what I believe. I can not fully explain it because I really don't know why either. It just is. -
I agree. Both of my parents used to be smokers and they always smoked in the house and I hated it. It was horrible and they just didn't understand what it was like to breathe in all of the second hand smoke. Now, my mom has quit smoking and she reliazed just how bad smoking smells. She now makes my dad smoke outside and my house has been smoke free for over five years. It is a lot healthier this way but my dad still has not quit. I don't think that he really wants to either. Its not the lack of will power its just that he doesn't want to stop. He claims that it is a great stress releiver even though my mom claims to be less stressed since quitting. In short, smoking bites.

I agree with the wide spread internet usage. Also, there will be robots for every purpose. And spaceships to transpot us to off-world colonies. Also, replicators like from Star Trek (machines that can instantly reproduce almost anything like food or equipment). Warp drive will make interstellar space travel possible.

I have a Dell 256 MB thumb drive that I use to transport larger files from home to school or from home to a friends house. I also use it to keep copies of important things that I don't want to have lost. Keeping a backup is really easy with the thumb drive. It is dependable and very portable.

I have a 15'' TFT monitor on a 1024x768 resolution. I have been thinking about upgrading to a LCD monitor sometime soon. I don't like using the 800x600 resolution. It is just too big for me too use. I like to have a lot of space on my desktop and when I have a lot of applications open.

What Country Do You Want To Visit The Most?
lotrfan replied to shigajet's topic in General Discussion
I have always wanted to go to China. It is full of facinating history, interesting culture and of course, great food. I have studied a lot of acient chinese history as a sort of hobby and have always wanted to see the sights where these events once took place. Also, China has some beautiful forests and deserts. -
