My real problem is how CPU hungry some of the games I play are. I could get away with software encoding on maybe two of the titles I'd play (Hearthstone or LoL) my CPU simply isn't powerful enough to run a game like Arma 3 while encoding. I know its surprising because its not like my CPU is trash but it has aged I'll say. Really it just seems like video games nowadays rely less and less on your GPU and more and more on CPU. I should probably point out I don't play any single player games really and it does seem like multiplayer games are extremely CPU hungry although I have no idea why. I can barely run PUBG a multiplayer Battle Royal game. But then any random AAA title game like the newest Call of Duty or Battlefield I could probably run on all high settings with great FPS. And Battlefield / CoD titles look so much better than PUBG making it even more confusing.

Yea its really only a niche thing for people on budget builds. Anyone with a stronger CPU would be silly to try hardware encoding. I literally can't get the performance out of software encoding that I could with hardware because I'm using a random AMD quad core. Most games nowadays are so CPU heavy so I really couldn't use my CPU and game anything more powerful than like a MOBA without major frame drops. While hardware encoding with my GPU is the same performance if I were streaming or not. I don't know if all cards are like this though. But Nvidia cards encode pretty damn well. I swear I look at some peoples streams and I'm getting better bitrate/overall stream quality than they get on their setups. Mostly because I believe their PCs aren't powerful enough to really make use of software encoding. To much power is being eaten up by the game itself. But if your limited on bandwidth CPU encoding is still extremely superior I have to push like 7000 bitrate to get the same quality another could get through software encoding with half that. I'm still pretty happy with the quality that's possible lots of information out there on hardware encoding is that its completely useless. But I've had great results.

Essentially yes. Its for streaming to services like Twitch or just locally recording video if you have a gaming channel on youtube or something. Honestly if your not familiar with encoding software like OBS or Xsplit this whole post isn't going to make much sense. Basically the normal optimal way for recording gameplay on your PC is to use software encoding that heavily utilizes your CPU but if your gaming rig is a few years old or you spent like 500 bucks on it ( Like I did hehe ) this isn't really an option for us. Either the quality will look horrible or if you can get the quality to look good enough your in-game performance (FPS) will suffer and then whats even the point? So for whatever reasons ( I really don't understand the technical aspects of it) using the GPU to encode instead is overall much less taxing on your machine. But again quality will suffer and if your PC is powerful enough its better not to bother with hardware encoding.

[DISCLAIMER] This is not a guide on how to stream/setup your recording this is simply information for those who perhaps have already started and are maybe running into issues, I will however answer any questions anyone might have but bare with me I am by no means an expert. I see tons of people nowadays getting into streaming/recording when playing PC games. Whether you want the footage for your own personal viewing or your aspiring to be a streamer/youtuber its basically never been easier to record your game play. Really the thing I want to talk about is you don't need a powerful insane gaming rig to get yourself going. When streaming/recording in programs like OBS most people use software encoding, which relies heavily on your CPU to work properly. But what about us noobs with not so great PCs? For most of you your probably packing an I7 and a beast graphics card to go with it. I am by no means saying for those people to not use software encoding as its superior to hardware in every possible way. And unless your streaming something like Hearthstone (basically 2D) or a MOBA like DOTA2/League of Legends in which case your probably fine. More demanding titles that most PCs could run just fine usually can't stream at the same time without hiccups. But if your computer is struggling with gaming while your encoding your PC might just not be cut out for recording with your CPU. Which brings us to hardware encoding. If you want to stream/record a game while still getting good in-game performance. Use your GPU to do all the work instead. It requires much higher bitrate to get even close to what you would get with software encoding, and even then it won't be anywhere close. I must say though I am quite impressed with the quality you are able to get out of it. And when the performance impact overall is essentially null its a huge advantage. Just remember if your trying to record any fast-pace action game that isn't a MOBA/RTS your upload speed must be able to at least output 6000+bps I'd recommend or its simply not worth it.

So do you think history is important? I don't know why but for some reason I was thinking about this earlier. Lots of people don't think its necessary to learn about our past, but its more important then most would think. Also saying that history is useless means that our lives we live now as it passes us also doesn't matter. Everything we do one day becomes history the next. What do you think?

So obvious. Its not possible for something to evolve into an egg. So the chicken would have to come first. Whatever they came from probably also layed eggs. Birds have scales you know.

This might be one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Some language but its not what you think it is. Advertising for a movie at its best.

Hello everyone. I don't know if you've seen any of the gameplay on the newest Call of Duty game coming out November 9th, but its looking to be a pretty nasty game. One thing that's been my favorite out of anything in the CoD Series would have to be Call of Duty WaW's Nazi Zombies. I mean whats more fun then mowing down hordes and hordes of zombies. Upgrading guns and so forth. Well Black Ops is bringing Zombies back up to the plate. I for one can't wait to see what they have new to offer. WaW had huge death lightning wolves. So who knows what going to be happening. Anyone up for new Kill Streaks? There are some confirmed as of now. RC Car Bomb. Yea RC... You drive the little remote control car around find some people on the ground and blow them up. I think its only 2-3 kills to get this so I hope it doesn't get to spammy. Also there's a kind of Predator Missle type thing it sounds like it will be just like it but named differently. So yea the new CoD is starting to look like its worth the money. November 9th (Going to the midnight launch ) anyone else getting it? Either way I'd buy this game just for the Zombies!

I would recommend AVG as its free and also light on your computers resources. Its easy to use. There is a pay version but the free one is all I need. Just do a full scan ( Not the quick one just to make sure it gets everything ) might take a while though. I'd do it when you don't have anything to do on the computer.

Since your buying a new computer I am just assuming that it would come with some type of a OS disk? If so you could always just reinstall windows ( Or whatever other OS it is) and select the correct language during the install.

Staring Problem Do you do it? how to stop it.

Yea I find it hard to look people in the eyes that are above you. Like teachers, the principal, probation officer . I found something that works really well. Don't look them in the eyes look at the right above the noes between the eyes. It looks like your giving eye contact but it doesn't feel as awkward. At least for me. -
Uh huh. I find your whole story flawed in quite a few points. For one your FPS has absolutely nothing to do with you Ping. ( Like 200MS is a normal ping ) You said the servers were lagging and you were running the game at 2-3 frames that's impossible your FPS has only to do with your computers hardware and has nothing to do with internet. The only lag even similar that you could see like that is Spiking which is sort of like everything stops for a second ( Not the animation but literally everyone's sitting there and doing nothing ) Then it jumps forward kind of.Now see I'm not some fan boy and I'm open to accept WoW for the problems it has as well. I don't like the idea for paying for something ever month ( 15$ ) When it sometimes doesn't work. You should always try to join a server with a low population. Its like they made the base software of the game to run it as it was ( Vanilla, or normal non expansion World of Warcraft ) And now that they are getting new expansions millions of new players set on top of it its like breaking. If the problems persist they should charge 7.50$ a month WITH all the problems. Because 15$ now with all this bullcrap is getting annoying.Sigh and yet I still pay and play. :angel:Why? Because I think its really fun to play a game that's not hard on your computer. So you can run it on pretty good settings and it will still look good. You CAN ( I say this because there's a lot of jackasses ) meet some nice people. The new things they're coming out with are really fun. Like the dungeon finder. It innovates other things I really like to do ( Take to people in Vent and build websites for guilds ). Overall I rate WoW on ascale of 15.6/20.

I guess if someone was out to get you and knew your address. ( Kind of hard to navigate at night, and who murders people during the day  ) They could see things like exits, doors, windows. At the same time they could just drive by your house. They have new technology with certain satelites that don't look at a sky view but at an angled one. ( The on street pictures you see I'm pretty sure are not satellites must be a camera ) They can look right into peoples windows. I thought that was kind of creepy.

Ahah. I kind of get the feeling that your somewhat attacking me here. I don't smoke pot. See just the fact that I used to smoke like once a month 2 months ago. ( Yea the time I got caught was going to be my once a month ) So I haven't smoked in a while. I am affected by music I like it a lot but its never made me physically change my opinions about anything or whatever. I still think this website is hilarious I'm looking for it now. The way the explain these things is so funny. Its like the second you hear your kids listening to rap start the search. CAVITY SEARCH! ( No not really  )

Oh my god! I sort of want to hear more about this. I would take them to court. What type of inappropriate behavior are they talking about? If its what I'm thinking about right now  Then that's so ridiculous. Just checked it up and it appears that their is two sides to this. The principal of the school admits that they had the software to do such. But only used it in the school. They say the student must of taken a picture of himself doing the "inappropriate" behavior ( Which I heard was something like popping pills or something ) and then they accessed it from his HD which would totally be okay. I mean still having this software was a stupid idea and I agree that they probably took the picture with the webcam and not the kid himself. WHY THE HELL WOULD HE TAKE A PICTURE OF HIMSELF DOING DRUGS? That would be so dumb. I think the parents sued.
-
I was looking around on the internet a few days ago for laws on certain drugs. I wondered around a bi ton got on this website that apparently helps parents know if their child is on drugs. This site made me mad actually because they're so dumb and rip on so many people who listen to certain types of music. This site basically said that if your child listens to rap you should suspect that he/shes smoking pot. I know right. It goes on to name other genres like punk, metal, JAZZ. For drugs like heroin, crack, LSD, ecstasy, and others. They say that if parents here their children listening to this type of music they should watch them more closely, search their rooms, and even drug test them. ALL FOR JUST THE TYPE OF MUSIC THEY LISTEN TOO. Well I feel sorry for whatever person is out there being suspected because of music. I don't really think the typical parent does this ( Mine Don't ) But at the same time I don't doubt that some parents suspect. Mostly rap ( No offense to people who listen to this genre ) but that's mostly because of what they sing about ( Sex, drugs not all of them but most of them ) Anyone else here of any parents ever doing this? I used to smoke pot and I HATE RAP SO MUCH!

Yea thanks for the template I really don't want to make another Topic for almost the same thing. I am now searching for a Forum for my website. The ones I've seen so far they give you like a sub domain and they link off into a whole different website. I'm looking for one that can be build into Joomla 1.5. So it would be like Mywebsite.com/forums. I am looking at not really having any good luck. I don't know where you got all those websites from deadmad. But I'm having no luck via Google. I want a free one by the way.

But last time I checked which was a little while ago lots of those cost money. Joomla Shack does, same thing with WoW installer. Clan Templates was what I went with. Thanks for all your help.

Computer Addicts Anonymous We know who you are

I don't think there's anything wrong with being on the computer a lot or anything. I mean look at what is happening around all of us. Everything is turning towards computers. Lots of jobs deal with computers. I mean our world is just turning into one whole computer. -
I don't know if I'm the only one. I don't smoke much I only smoke when I have access to cigarettes. I only crave a cigarette if I know I can get one very easily, which is mostly over friends houses and stuff. But if I'm at my house I'm fine and don't need to smoke at all. I find when I smoke I am a lot more calm in body and mind. I can think easier and everything just has a good feeling to it. I know its harmful but I figure I barely smoke and haven't gotten addicted yet. I guess I started smoking just because the people I hanged around with did. I really didn't feel pressured because they never did. Where I live the last thing someone wants to do is get someone who doesn't smoke to start smoking so they can bum all their cigarettes. I just sort of said hey let me get a puff off that and didn't like it. After a while I just got used to it I guess.

Ok so I found one but I mean 33$ a month is so steep. I know its basically free because of the myCENTS here at Trap but I don't have the time to be posting that much here. The Bandwith and stuff is so high and the space it gives is so much. I want even be using like 1/4 of it. What I'm looking at now is the Windows VPS. All I need is a server of some sort to run this other server program and others connect to it. Its a ventrillo server.

Xbox Live Community. Oh my god. Primarily Call of Duty and Halo. I always join lobbies that should have idle chat, talking about the game, etc. Instead I get mindless screaming, swearing, racial comments. I mean you can't even hear what anyone is saying. Its not even trash talking its just GARBLE! GARBLE! Yea and also little kids with high pitched voices screaming. I don't even mind if they just talk normally but I always seem to hear them scream. Now getting on the subject of MmoRpg. World of Warcraft probably has like 30% decent people and the rest are so immature. They just ruin the entire game for me sometimes. I'll be in a dungeon and some people will pull the whole instance! You know childish stuff like that. I don't understand how people would act so immature on the internet just because the people they interact with they'll most likely never see in their whole life.
