  1. Some of you may remember me from the old days, so here I am, back. Good to be with the community again. I don't have much to say now, but I hope to contribute lots in the future.
  2. I agree with jamesleon for SuSE being the best home use linux distro. It has nice 3d desktop effects and a nice user interface. QT is not too impressive, I just hate "Visual Candy" compilers...And the other programs are very useful and most of the programs are not found on other Linux distros ...
  3. Yeah that, and it puts a custom favicon on all pages within the vBulletin root. Personally I prefer MyBBoard(https://mybb.com/)...its got lots of features, is easy to admin and most of the MyBBoard-driven forums have lots of members... Check this out -> http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ They got over 35,000 members, YES, thirty-five thousand! But MyBBoard hasn't got many hacks/mods yet...I remember one of their sites which had hacks/mods for MyBBoard... After my MyBBoard, I like IPB, its got a wonderful default skin, its easy to add mods and hacks, and most of the mods/hacks are useful unlike many of the phpBB ones...
  4. Can you plz add my IP to that list j/k ...hehe, plz don't...anyways, thanks for the host.deny file punit...although I won't be using it, many people will find it very VERY useful....
  5. I really recommend Invision Power Board. Sure, phpBB has lots of mods but they are mostly useless. Most of the Invision Power Board mods/hacks are really useful and the standard AdminCP without any mods is better than the phpBB AdminCP WITH mods. Both of them have good skins but the ordinary IPB skin is a thousand times better than the ugly phpBB ordinary skin. They're both better than vBulletin lol...I use MyBBoard(https://mybb.com/). It's also worth a look...
  6. Hehe san, I'm not a java engineer, I'm still learning it. I used to be interested in making cheatbots for games like runescape(lol)....but that game sucks now so I don't wanna make a cheatbot...I use the BlueJ java compiler/IDE(Interface Developement Environment) but you require the Sun JDK before you can use the BlueJ compiler
  7. They only temporarily store your files, so if you close the browser window or if they think you downloaded the file already, they delete it from their server...
  8. Sgies.comIt offers 3 GB space and POP3/IMAP/SMTP/WAP services for free.By the way, neither Spymac or Yahoo! China give free POP access, you have to pay for it...POP access I mean
  9. Hey everyone, I found a site with a free online java compiler where you choose a source .java file from your computer and click on compile on the webpage and you get instant .class files! ....heres the link:http://www.innovation.ch/ - its somewhere on their website :(Hope this helps in some way ...
  10. I just figured something out...they used the script from someone else...its written by a guy whose website I frequently go to...they bought the license ...you can also start a service like this if bandwidth/space permits ...but thats unlikely ...
  11. The layout/template is quite nice ...but still I can't deny I have seen that exact layout at another site...Anyways, good choice/taste !
  12. I haven't played handball, but I've seen people play it. I saw it in the olympics and didn't find it too exciting but I would love to play handball with someone in the future if possible ...
  13. congrats, Xisto staff , thanks for everything you've done for us ...
  14. Well, in this case, its spelt 'leeches'...Leeches are also automated robots or programs that search websites for files and mass-download them, eating up bandwidth. Leeches are also programs used by people on P2P networks to download files from a specific network without letting others access file from the leech....
  15. Nah, I'm Eric Straven, EricDrinkard is busy...:(Anyway I think it should be like this:$dbuname="nextgeng_nuke" or whatever you named your nuke db's name is...
  16. 1. In case of support, you can email me, OpaQue, mastercomputers, or any of the Admins. You can get our email addresses through our profile pages or you can ask for our addresses by sending any of us a PM.2. We have about 18-22 employees on Xisto and Xisto. We are currently accepting moderator applications for Xisto.3. The google ads are pay per click but if they find out that the same person is <- snipped -> many times a day, Google will disable that person's Ad-Sense. So please <- snipped -> you are interested in, not just random ones. I don't know about the banner ads though...}
  17. Hey Genocide, noticed your change of name ...I can help you with this...tell me the version of PHP-Nuke, and please add me on MSN, ICQ, AIM or YIM...you can get my screen names/addresses from my profile page.

  19. He means that the uploaded file will be deleted in a week most probably... I'm not sure but thats what I'm guessing...
  20. Well I suggest deleting your PHP-Nuke installation through cPanel and reinstalling it before anyone creates a super-user again lol....some of the newer versions of PHP-Nuke like the 7.x versions have many bugs...
  21. Am I wrong or is there a Solaris 10?? I heard about that a long time ago...Anyway, my friend has a AMD Opteron home-server with Solaris 8 installed and it sucks in my opinion. Its very hard to work with. Its okay as a server but I definately don't see myself or anyone using it for their home use...Besides, I just hate Sun Microsystems so maybe my opinion is negative about Solaris because of that...the only thing I like about them is Java...
  22. A blog is something worth not getting. Blogs suck.Well thats my opinion. But I make blogs sometimes just to stir up attention if you know what I mean ...(IPB Forums with MK portal installed, hehe)...But if you DO decide to have one, install moveable-type, Larry Page and Sergey Brin used it once ...Or...you can just use the one supplied by Blogger. You can use the free blog service on their site or you can use their software on your own hosted site ...
  23. Another word of advice: If you can't come up with a tutorial by yourself, read a tutorial on the internet and try to interpret it in your own words from what you understand. That way your writing won't be considered "copied". Stay 'clean' . No need to plagiarise, the webhosting is worth the posts.
  24. Awesome! Thanks :)...Now all I need to get is a sig that is sorta plain with my name and below it, it would say "(A "" emoticon here)One love is all we need (A "" emoticon here)!" A job well done, its really cool! I'm just gonna do some color adjustments to the text if thats ok with you ...
