I am having trouble creating a script, all i want to achieve is to: 1. Select the variable from my mysql database, which is in a format of : id|id|id|id| and so on... 2. Split them into separate variables by using : $songexploded = explode("|",$ttyo['songs']); 3. Then this is the bit I'm stuck on trying to create a while loop from the $songexploded variables. So(this might not be correct but you should get the idea).. $x=1; while ($songexploded ==$result)echo $songexploded[$x].'
';}

Thankyou I managed to remove the atx at the end of the document and insert new songs then insert the atx again to close the document off. Ty Rob

Hi I am trying to make a script so that i can insert songs into a playlist, but i need a script in which it opens the playlist file and removes the closing tag at the end, so before i can add more entrys. e.g <atx>
Location 5

Location 4

Location 3

Location 2

Location 1
<atx> But to add more entrys i would have to get rid of the atx, then use the fputs to place the new entry into the file. Notice from jlhaslip: code tags added Notice from BuffaloHELP: Topic title modified.

Its not possible to override the mail function. The only way is to use a script which uses an smtp username,password and host to send emails to people. As it is a free web hosting package there are a lot of limitations. If you want to i can give you some webspace for cheap money or even free if i talk to my boss.

it01y2 replied to Albus Dumbledore's topic in Programming
ok I will sort it out, you will need php functionability on your server to make this work. You basically need to use the touch command then the fwrite function to wite the contents to the file. You will need to use the POST superglobal as well. -

I think I understand what you sre saying. You want to basically type in the filename box eg. eg.html then the contents eg

test

Then you want to write this to a new file? with the contens in it, and the filename is specified to the one you set ok? -

Heres my current config file: ## This is the main Apache HTTP server configuration file. It contains the# configuration directives that give the server its instructions.# See <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/> for detailed information.# In particular, see # <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/directives.html># for a discussion of each configuration directive.## Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding# what they do. They're here only as hints or reminders. If you are unsure# consult the online docs. You have been warned. ## Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many# of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drive:/" for Win32), the# server will use that explicit path. If the filenames do *not* begin# with "/", the value of ServerRoot is prepended -- so "logs/foo.log"# with ServerRoot set to "G:/xammp/apache" will be interpreted by the# server as "G:/xammp/apache/logs/foo.log".## NOTE: Where filenames are specified, you must use forward slashes# instead of backslashes (e.g., "c:/apache" instead of "c:\apache").# If a drive letter is omitted, the drive on which Apache.exe is located# will be used by default. It is recommended that you always supply# an explicit drive letter in absolute paths, however, to avoid# confusion.## ThreadsPerChild: constant number of worker threads in the server process# MaxRequestsPerChild: maximum number of requests a server process servesThreadsPerChild 250MaxRequestsPerChild 0## ServerRoot: The top of the directory tree under which the server's# configuration, error, and log files are kept.## Do not add a slash at the end of the directory path. If you point# ServerRoot at a non-local disk, be sure to point the LockFile directive# at a local disk. If you wish to share the same ServerRoot for multiple# httpd daemons, you will need to change at least LockFile and PidFile.#ServerRoot "G:/xammp/apache"## Listen: Allows you to bind Apache to specific IP addresses and/or# ports, instead of the default. Ok this is in detail:People will select how many troops they will send to attack the other player. So the time is created by timing the unit number by the time (which is 00:01:13 per unit)so $time = $_POST[unitsammount] * 00:01:13then I need to add the time($time) to the current time and input it into the database to give me the time which the attack will arive the other player.Thanks Rob
-
I am trying to work out how to get subdomains working in xampp. I have tried all of the tutorials on the net but I still cant work it out. Any Ideas?Thanks Rob
