So this link was recently posted on reddit /r/entreprenuer and got alot of attention http://www.ashtonfrost.com/2013/04/12/7-days-7-posts/ basically this guy says that the people telling you how to market are telling you all wrong because they are telling you what worked for getting web traffic back when they got it. And things have changed so much since that it is irrelevant. How do you guys feel about this, and what do you think should be done in order to increase web traffic in 2013?

I am not married, nor do I have kids (thank god!). However, I'm a university student who has put a great deal of time into sociology and psychology courses. And one topic covered in psych 404, was regarding intimate relationships. The 'spark' you are referring to is essentially anxiety, and is only supposed to last 3-6 years. After that many people will say the "spark is gone," this doesn't necessarily mean the two individuals do not love each-other anymore, it only means they have become very accustomed to each-other and no longer have the anxiety created by intimate social interactions. Essentially, I can tell you that it is completely natural and you should not be worrying about it that much. If I where to give someone a tip to make 'the spark' appear again, I would probably suggest trying to incorporate other anxiety producing(not stupid though), activities together. For example, traveling to places you have never been before - or watching a horror movie at a 12:00 showing.Hope I helped,Alphacide

It seems as if Xisto is slowly dying off. After the domain got swapped and Xisto become Xisto, the traffic flow slowed down dramatically and the forums become less active. And now it seems the server may have been downgraded or is for some reason getting alot of congestion that could be avoided. I think a small advertising campaign COULD restore the traffic to Xisto, as alot of its traffic from backlinks probably died with the new domain.

Hey Xisto(Xisto)! Something like a year and a half ago, I posted that I had decided to start blogging. I ended up with wordpress.org 3.0, and a slightly modfied version of the zbench theme. Pretty much I just tweaked it around to get it looking right, changed some internal settings ect; also it is being hosted on my old tech reveiw website(some of you probably remember that)'s host, although I may switch it to xisto if the traffic gets bigger. So I'm not going for the most credit on the visual part, however my blogging experience has been great! I've had some interesting discussions with people on the blog, and got to share my opinions with the world. Its been a good experience! My most popular, and discussed page has been my livestream, bringing in hundreds of hits. I also have been linked from many gaming website's as I used to play this game league of legends very competitively and streamed it. I've learned alot about how the internet works, and found some interesting things via checking what websites have referred people to my blog. So far I've got lots of traffic from russian websites, walmart.com (???), other people's blogs, and lots of search engines. Its really weird finding out what people typed into a search engine to find your site. Sometimes, looking at the search engine refer all chart I laugh at how bad people can misspell simple things (alfakide web log, konnects contriller, ect). When I last posted here, my websites views was at 0, I'd like to share this screenshot- As you can see, I climbed from nothing - to getting over 1000 veiws in a month! While this may not make my site an A-lister, thats a great achivement in my book! Overall, I'd like to say blogging has been a very enjoyable experience for me; and is a great hobby for someone who has extra time on their hands- I would recommend it. To finish off my post, I'd like to thank anyone who has been reading my blog; and anyone who hasn't feel free to check it out here. I'm gonna keep blogging, and hopefully bring up those numbers even further! Cya!

Unfortunately, nowadays its hard to make money freelancing online - Why? Because 3rd world country has figured out, they can read some programming tuts than make 5x their average pay working online. Your best bet to make some money freelancing is to advertise your skills in a local newspaper; or look for local businesses SEEKING a freelancer. - Alphacide

Sony did that a long time ago, its called SensMe. Apple doesn't create really anything new. Normaly they take existing products, smack a label on them and market them as new

Is an 11inch "gaming" netbook gonna be released this month. Alienware claims it gets 6.5hrs battery life, I don't know about that. They also say its gonna be going for under 1000$. However, I wont buy any laptop below 14.1" so its not for me. If you had the money, would you buy it?
