  1. fs2004 with lots of addon's is still better than fsx I'm waiting to get a new computer before trying out fsx. As for fsx being a teaching tool for wannabe pilots I doubt the default one would because default planes I believe have no fmc which is basically a necessity in most ifr flying aircraft these days. Secondly no matter if you 'flew' on FSX you would still need to do the whole pilot training course from the start regardless.
  2. Gmail as its just lightyears above the rest with it being free, storage space continuously growing and it has pop3 support. One thing I'd like though is if they would increase the size of attachments right now I think it stands at 20mb but when you want to send lots of pictures to your friends and family it sometimes does limit you.
  3. The DRM the bbc used is based on windows media player and thus would most likely not work on Linux. It is the easiest and most well known type of DRM systems and for the bbc to use one which would support all os it would require quite a lot of work and for the majority of windows visitors it may require installing a new codec. Besides the bbc have also made available the programs in their online flash player which every os can play. Its better than ITV's iplayer which uses silverlight which I believe does not run on linux and channel 4's which is exclusively windows os.
  4. I use phpED for php. I started with notepad but sometimes its hard to see mistakes you've made in notepad! I also like how the code is colour coded on phpED compared to notepad.
  5. Dogs they stand by their owners no matter what while cats do their own thing for most of the day only to return for some food also where I live there are quite a few cars and theres a golf course next door so if I had a cat I would be afraid that either the cat would be hit by a car or hit by a golf ball.
  6. Firefox I changed a long time back and now using internet explorer just seems so weird and alien to me.
  7. I would never change from Microsoft flight simulator especially with the addons you can get, things like the pmdg 737, aerosoft Heathrow pro blow anything flightgear has. Also I flight simulator only gets really exciting if you go online and fly such as on vatsim or ivao both of which flightgear don't support.
  8. For bve you need to have the right train for the route when you select the route in the info section it should say what train you should use. As for Microsoft train simulator I think its a bit outdated now and there are a few new ones on the market now especially rail simulator which is simply the best train simulator on the market right now. Microsoft have said they are considering making a new train simulator but it would be based on the FSX engine! Anyone who has played FSX knows that unless you have the highest computer imaginable the game will have very low fps so if they do consider making a new msts I hope they don't use that engine.
  9. There are so many factors when it comes to uttorent it includes how many seeders there are, the quality of seeders etc. Make sure you set your download speed to unlimited in utorent but apart from that it really is hard to predict how good the speeds will be. If they are really low you may also have to consider that your ISP is capping the speed.
