If you only want linux to replace you counter-strike / MSN chatting Windows XP box, don't. If you want it to do web-design, run servers, or do REAL work in, then linux will own anything any day, and where.

You're a quitter. If you can't handle even installing linux, I recommend staying away from a career in computer sciences.
