Lookie what Kaspersky 6.0 picked up in the link (don't click it obviously unless you are sure it isn't). http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ the virus name: HEUR:Exploit.Script.Generic I got this by the annoying ad when you double-click a certain word here and then the answers.com ad pops up. so is this a antivirus problem or is it really a trojan? it happens every time that ad pops up.
-
Well its either that or Kaspersky Anti-Virus is screwed up. You know that little ad that comes up when you click on a word on Trap 17 forums? Kaspersky picked it up as: HEUR:Exploit.Script.Generic. It said that I should be advised to terminate the download, when I wasn't downloading anything. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

I personally love FireFox 3.5. It is so much better than internet explorer, although google chrome comes up in one of the fastest. It also has "private browsing," meaning that it will not save your internet history, cookies, etc. If you are using any extensions with an earlier version of firefox be sure to check if they are compatible with the newer version. and yes, there is a slight difference in speed, but it is not that big.

there is a whole forum section here about making money on the internet. you may have to invest a few dollars into it (i'm talking cheap, like $10), for backup incase you don't have enough forum posts (yes you can get money to go to your website on here). please read the tutorials; they should be at the main section of the forums.

When I got the phone a few weeks after it came out, I was really excited about it. I had only been using it for a few days when I had started to notice that TXT'ing was very hard with the touch-screeen. The phone itself is kind of bulky, and the touch screen (in my opinion) feels weird when you touch it. It doesn't have a very wide variety of apps and different themes (of course, Verizon limits you to there pre-stock ones). If you want a phone that is touch-screen and a keyboard, I would suggest that you get the LG Voyager or the LG env Touch if you want a good multimedia phone.

I'd get an iPhone. It gets along nicely with iTunes, which I'm sure the HTC Diamond doesn't. It also has a very easy-to use app store, but the HTC Diamond has a harder-to-find one. You also get better support from Apple, and you can always take it in and get a new one if something happens to it.

I have a LG env2 that is my current phone, but I also have the lg dare, moto razr v3m, and some old 2003 flip phone. I plan on upgrading to the LG env Touch (from Verizon) in a few weeks

Ummm... Why Do I Have Negative Mycents?
FruitRocks replied to FruitRocks's topic in Web Hosting Support
Wow, dude, can you ever get out of that? As for mine, will I be still able to earn money when I have negative MyCent's? When you say "one-liners," what are you referring to? What does Xisto count as a one-liner? -
Even though I have Verizon, I would have prefered to go with AT&T. They have the ability to use SIM cards (meaning you can use old phones without having to go and register them). Plus, they have the iPhone. Verizon's support has always been VERY bad for me, and I think that the internet prices are bad, and I don't like how you can't use a WiFi PDA without a data plan. Post your thoughts.

Just over an hour ago I had about 68 MyCents. Now I'm in the negatives....

What is an anonymous proxy and how are they different from a regular proxy? I know what a regular proxy is (basically creates a middle man between two computers). How does it "hide" your IP address? you're still surfing the internet, so couldn't you go into the router and see the logs of where a person has been? How does adding javascript to anonymous proxies supposedly compromise your anonymity?

Is Windows Hosting safe? I've always been very leery on Windows hosting because there is so many different ways on how you could compromise a server (e.x. DOS attacks, simple viruses, and many more). I've liked Linux hosting better because it is very hard to infect a Linux system.

Install Two Anti-virus Software In 1 System Is it ok?
FruitRocks replied to Dragonfly's topic in Security issues & Exploits
I would only do one. I am running Kaspersky Anti-virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations and I am very happy with it. You can get the RC at the sight (meaning it is still in beta). It doesn't clog down your system. If you don't want to do that, go ahead and install the Norton product, though I would suggest running AVG free and Malaware Bytes, plus the Windows Firewall (will protect the computer from most things, if you don't turn it off). -
What would you say that the best anitvirus is? My personal favorite is Kaspersky for Windows 7. It includes many features that most don't, like Intrusion Detection System and Stealth Internet Browsing. Post your thoughts on what you think the best anitvirus for Windows is.

Here's a comparison between the different OS options and what I thought of the Windows 7 RTM install (I get it early because I'm an MSDN subscriber (: ) Note: Windows 7 Home Basic and Windows 7 Starter are only available to OEM's and more developing countries(India, Iraq, etc). edit: these editions are also available to MSDN subscribers. more info can be found here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/products/windows Windows 7 Home Premium: Don't go for 7 Ultimate if all you are interest in are media features. The only thing that it doesn't include is Windows XP mode, and you need certain hardware to achieve it (although you can easily use Windows XP in VMWARE, or even Virtual PC). It also does not include Bitlocker and AppLocker, with no enhanced backup features. You can't switch between languages even if your OS has been installed. Windows 7 Professional: As it says, mostly for businesses or for people who don't want the features of Home Premium, but want the features for Professional (or for those who cant get an Enterprise copy of it). It includes Windows XP mode and Bitlocker support, with "company connect" or whatever its called. Windows 7 Ultimate: As it says, it is the "ultimate" version of Windows 7 (well, not really. read the details for the "Enterprise" edition). It includes everything that Home Premium and Professional has. THERE IS ALSO NO DREAMSCENE, OR WINDOWS ULTIMATE EXTRAS. DO NOT GET THIS UNLESS YOU ACTUALLY NEED THE FEATURES OF HOME PREMIUM AND PROFESSIONAL!! GET HOME PREMIUM IF YOU ARE THE AVERAGE HOME USER OR GAMER! Windows 7 Enterprise: Basically the "Ultimate" verision of Windows because it includes unlimited licensing and a few enterprise goodies (like enhanced remote connections, etc.) Attached is a photograph of the desktop and a few other pictures of the OS (Opens in PowerPoint; you need PowerPoint or the PowerPoint viewer). Enterprise is only available to OEM's and My thoughts: Install: I did a clean install of Windows Vista Home Premium to 7 Enterprise. I did not actually do it from a DVD, I experimented and tryed installing the OS from MagicDisc (a free virtual DVD-ROM Drive Creator). The install took about half an hour (compared to Vista's, which was about an hour). The Install went a lot like Vista's (meaning how it looked, not Blue Screen of Death P: ). First Impression: It starts up with a Windows 7 logo, and then takes about 5-10 minutes to detect the hardware. All of mine was detected and installed automictacally (excluding the Belkin F5D7050 Wireless USB stick, which is to be expected because it didn't have great Vista support in the first place). Unlike Vista which hogged a lot of my CPU resources, I couldn't even hear my CPU and graphics card spin, because on Vista I could hear them for about 10 minutes going on and off even in another room. You'll notice there is no sidebar gadget (thankfully). The desktop always stays beutiful because applications never switch back from Aero to Vista Basic. Turning off the annoyning UAC control can be easily done by going to getting started- uac settings there is also no welcome center Pre-Installed Applications: Paint has improved a lot. Instead of the old, ugly theme, it now looks identical to Office 2010's UI. It also has easier navigation. New Text Document App: Again, it looks a lot like Office 2010's UI. edit: open up your pics in the default picture editor that your computer uses (should be in .png). i may add more for requests of what each OS looks like.

Because I'm a MSDN subscriber, I can get all versions of Vista and ultimate for free. Should I stick with Vista Ultimate because it has never given me any problems, or go to Windows 7 Ultimate RTM (the one that is supposed to come out in October, not the RC version).

I hate all of them. I hate content filtering because of its purpose. People wonder what is stopping them, so then they want to know what it is and look at it. It's called human control, because it is impsible to stop it, and it just makes people annoyed. Today I was surfing the internet and a freakin random virus supposedly called "windows antivirus pro" popped up onto my computer. Now I have no clue on how to get rid of it. So <inserts very happy word> them all.

Well I've waited about three days for my domain name to be propogated or whatever it's called. RoadRunner (my ISP) seems to not want to, because every time I try to connect with CoreFTP it says, "Requested Server name is valid, but no data of requested type was found." When I go to my website, it either says DNS error or gives me a list of suggested sites. What should I do?

I know a lot of people will scream at me for saying this, but I think that we should remove Xisto and migrate everybody to Xisto( or vice a versa), because when I typed in "free webhosting no ads" on google it was highly confusing seeing two almost exactly the same features.

What is a good free website builder? I need one with uploading capabilities, importing mp3/mp4 files easily (hide them in the background), and making themes easily. Also, what is a good forum builder (free) besides vBulletin?
