  1. Thanks that was a pretty fast reply - I think it is for the free hosting service that non-English websites aren't allowed (I read this on a review of Xisto on another site)Anyway I guess it will take a long time for me to get my Telugu site up - I still have to figure out the fonts and everything. From what I've seen it's really a long and boring process that may not end up working well :(

  2. I never really understood what all the hubub about piratebay was. I knew it's the world's leading bit-torrent tracker which makes snide remarks against the companies which threaten it, but frankly I never felt the need to jump into that world. It's amazing that they managed to escape all these years with that same defending statement - "we dont host the illegal files on our servers so we are innocent!" - im glad they finally are trapped! But even if this one site is closed, there are tons of other sites out there which will take its place as number one. So the movie and music industry people cant be fully happy for now!

  3. I am very near to getting the amount needed to buy a domain and hosting (really excited) and I got a doubt very soon - are non-English sites allowed to be hosted? I want to put up two versions of my site - one in English and the other in my mother-tongue Telugu although it may take time for the Telugu version to be ready. But when it is ready, is it allowed? The answer is very important because it will decide the name of my domain! :( That may sound crazy but that is the fact. So could someone please clarify this so that I can start brainstormin?

  4. It's funny that many people are having doubts like these and yet the creator of the credit system never answers them! :( Now it's a bare truth that the majority of the people here are bothered more about the myCENTs rather than on contributing quality posts to the forum. If the creator of the program came out and clarified how exactly the system works, then the people interested in posting mostly one-liners may get interested in posting more and those who are really into contributing quality posts to the forum will get to know how much quality they are really adding!

  5. I totally agree. It is better not to trust the free domains...the site can always take off your domain and you may not be able to do anything about it - although they don't do this normally this is just a scary possibility.Still, the above trick was very clever. But as you said, they may cover it up very soon. Here we are getting a very good opportunity to get free domains and also free hosting with just doing a small activity now and then so why look for other sources when you are getting the real deal over here! As you are getting near and near to the required amount to buy a domain here it gets very exciting and after you finally get it you feel its worth the effort. after this who needs co.cc :(

  6. This has been an interesting discussion and I wish to put in my word too. The US has been a global power for a long time now, and like it or not, most of the other nations in the world are ready to be united just to overtake the US! Presently in the period of recession it already looks like the US is losing power day-by-day. Other countries have been affected too, but no so badly as the US. So which country in the world today is ready to take up the seat of power? If you ask me, no one is, not even the US. It seems like all the countries are on an equal footing right now and everyone is hesitating to lead by example, not knowing what the outcome would be. It is really hard to predict the situation in 2020, leave alone 2050! But anyone would admit that in the near future, some country will take a step ahead and take the position of global leader

  7. I wonder if it's unbreakable like the PET Heinz ketchup bottles :-P

well you could always try by buying it and then smashing it on the floor! :(

people in some countries haven't even got 3g access yet, I dont think we will be seeing 4g for this any soon...and yeah a radio-phone never goes out of fashion - it's always on the list of most wanted features

  8. This is really a coincidence but just now I saw the movie "99" and that movie answers all your questions :(Anyway, according to the movie, all you need is the serial number of the sim card and then you can prepare a duplicate of it and use it as your own till the customer gets suspicious...you can even spy on the owner and record all their calls...so I suggest you better ask your friend to immediately get rid of that sim and get a new one (you can get a lifetime connection for as low an amount as Rs.35 /- nowadays!)Another suggestion would be to opt for a pre-paid connection so that even if such a thing happens, you will be immediately notified of it before there is any heavy loss

  9. The Indian newspapers have sincerely been following the numerous attacks happening down under. Here's just one of the articles that keep appearing almost everyday. This one is just a snippet, but underneath it you can see links to other stories too.

    Attack on 20-yr old

Some are getting scared to go to Australia while some are confident that if they dont provoke the Aussies nothing will happen to them. Well I just hope all this gets settled soon.

  10. 5-10 minutes eh? I doubt if that is going to bring in a lot of people....of course that will serve as an emergency charge but I still doubt it because apart from the solar charge it has to have all those additional features that are required for a phone to sell in the market these days! :(Still it's a good start. maybe we'll get to see more powerful solar phones in the near future...

  11. Many people (including me) have been complaining about the declining quality of the show, but there has been no proper response from the show itself. And now we hear that the network has ordered two more seasons. A lot of people have stopped watching the show due to the quality but a lot more people are still hanging on with the hope that they will get to see the old days again....maybe FOX is targeting this group of people instead of trying to bring back the other group...

  12. Well it wasn't like this in the beginning they got paid just like the other shows - but as their show grew more and more popular the actors became more and more demanding and at one point the FOX network even threatened to fire them and get new actors! But the network got sensible and took back its threat. If I'm not wrong, the actors' salaries have been hiked on their demand at least three times for now. And because of their latest demand, the 20th season was delayed :( Not that it was so wonderful anyway...

  13. Give yourself a pat on the back for the repair...you're on your way to going from a computer illiterate to a PhD :(As for the Vista problem, I too never used Vista but jumped directly over to Windows 7 RC and it doesn't seem to have any of that "clip it" stuff. Here's a useful tip that you may already be knowing - try using the keyboard shortcuts for cutting and pasting coz the shortcuts are same no matter what the operating system is. Select the text that you want to cut and press "Ctrl and X" to cut it (for copying it is "Ctrl and C") and select the place where you want to paste it and press "Ctrl and V" - sorry if you already knew this I'm just telling what I know. Keyboard shortcuts save a lot of time...

  14. If I remember right, many colleges in the European Union do offer free education to its students. I've read quite a few articles about this in newspapers. Many students do not know about this because they get attracted towards the US, UK and Australia. The educational quality in these colleges is no less than the top universities in the star countries and all the student has to pay is the living expenses. I'm sorry that I'm not able to provide any valid links for my argument but I'm quite sure that what I said is true. Please note that only some countries like Denmark, Sweden and some others have this program. In short,

University education in European Union (some countries only)

    Tuition fee - None

Living Expenses - Depends on country
