Although USB 2.0 is compatible with almost everything, Firewire is still 10X faster than USB. You may even not notice it, but the data it sends is clearer than USB (per second). Especially when you look at digital camera.xboxrulz

Linux is easy to use. Especially for Mac users because you already know how the folder hierarchy works. / is the root folder, /home is the home folder and etc. Plus, GUI like KDE makes it look and feel like ur runnin Windows.Also, Linux runs smoother and stabiler than Macs. The framebuffer on Linux is faster therefore, running apps that aren't native would run very fast. Just look at Wine when you're not loading a heavy duty software (especially games).Linux is definately a good choice as an OS.xboxrulz

FORMATTING WILL SIMPLY WRITE A FILESYSTEM TO YOUR MACHINE. A DVD can hold at least 5 GB. XBOX uses the DVD9 (holds 9 GB) and in the future when we get Blue Laser DVD reader/writers DVD can write upto 23 GB.

well, if it is Redhat based, it is VT 7 like SuSE/Mandrake and all that supports RPM. Debian is also F7. Linspire locked their VT surfin function. NOTE: You cannot use F10 because that's the kernel's journal.xboxrulz
