There is no one place for learning ajax. some topics are easy to understand from w3schools and other topics from elsewhere. Its better you get the topic list from w3schools and search them on google and read some source codes. If you just want to use it, use some framework You might also try IBM Developer Works for good tutorials and go to tgmc.in website and there are some links for learning ajax, xml etc

Recently, DIGIT Magzine printed FAST TRACK for PHP (Try for 1-2 months back)If you can get it or iys pdf version,Its a good starting place.

I suggest Ubuntu.Its easy to use and lughter on system resources.Also its support is good and software repository is huge.but for any reason you dont like ubuntuu can try Mandriva. its also good.

Best free uninstaller is combination of REVO and CCLEANERFor paid softwareYou can try Total Uninstall, it is a good program and fast too.(paid may/may not mean cracked )

Winamp is a good media player for AUDIO FILES. its greatest feature accorrding to me is global shortcuts and the mini mode which allows toolbar type skin and auto hide.For videos, best player is media player classic and vlc.(Why there is no pole for linux?)

Best antivirus (Paid) is NOD32. It is light on system and configuration options are greater than many others.ESET smart security (nod32 is part of this) is a good security suite.as for free antivirus.....both avg and avira are good
