  1. I don't use CSS at all. As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't have enough functionality to bother learning it. I mean, controlling text to be the same on every page... that's not that great. All of my needs are taken care of by using the "include" function in PHP and writing pages in HTML.To me, the W3C saying that HTML shouldn't be able to do color and font tags, and that should be left to CSS is the same as saying "Well when you walk into a Chinese resturant, you have to speak Chinese." It's extra effort put forth when the first language sufficed.
  2. $100 dollars for pizza delivery? That's mad. Here it's like $15 (The cost of the pizza). You don't really have to tip the delivery guy... but I think he wouldn't like you very much if you didn't. The Chinese restaurants that deliver are the same way, the food doesn't increase in price, but it's kind of an accepted fact that you tip the delivery guy. As for what networker said... yeah, I don't really get its appeal either, aside from what I said earlier about how it's one of the easiest foods to eat. No forks, knives, plates, just pick it up and eat it... kind of like a sandwich that you can put thicker and wet things on because the crust is thick enough to support it. It's alright, but not something that's just infinitely edible like some people treat it.
  3. Ryan is 262nd. That's pretty high, I didn't expect that. John is number one... I would hate to be named John, then there would be tons of other people with the same name
  4. I came by here when a guy at another forum (the place where I get my web hosting from) mentioned it in one of his posts. He said something about free domains, so I took advantage of that opportunity, and so far I'm glad I did.
  5. I've never really used Notepad for anything. My site's hosting has a built in HTML editor (text based, not WYSIWYG), so I've never had a need for outside programs. My friend suggested a program called "NoteTab Light" but really, that's the same story. Are there really any benefits to using Notepad?
  6. That may be the longest post I've ever read. Many years ago, I was told by one of my science teachers that Daddy Longlegs is indeed the most poisonous spider in the world, which freaked me out since they're the only spiders I ever thought were safe enough to play with. (She did later say that their fangs are too weak to break the thick human skin, but for things with skin less durable than ours, they could be a threat.)Personally, I don't think that most poisonous "spider" is really even applicable in this case, since the basic classification of a creature called "spider" gives it three body segments, not two. The other features match well enough to almost be an exception, but I doubt professional biologists would allow that.
  7. I've had my PS2 for... Probably four or five years. It has yet to break, and I got it used. I've heard a lot of fail stories about how cheaply made some of them are however. My friend bought his PS2 brand new and it broke in a week, so he sent it off to Sony. They sent it back, claiming it was fixed, but it was still broken. He gave up on it. I don't own a single other Sony product; no phones, TVs, Laptops, nothing; so I can't really say anything about the quality of those things. I have heard of people dropping their PS2 from ridiculously short heights just for it to break, which is pretty sad, considering that I've dropped several of my game systems and seen people drop theirs from heights of four feet or more, yet they survived.
  8. I'm glad to hear you have to have Grease Monkey installed for the trojan to take effect. I've only installed one add-on to my Firefox, which Firefox 3 didn't support, so it was uninstalled. Still glad that I saw this topic though, in case I ever thought about getting it.By the way, what exactly does Grease Monkey do?
  9. I'm not really at all fond of pizza, it gives me indigestion. For the most part, people probably eat it just because it's easy to get, easy to eat, and relatively fast and cheap. People are really fond of things that they don't necessarily have to use a plate for, since that saves on clean-up, and pizza is really customizable - basically anything you can throw on top of a crust can be turned into a pizza (point proven by CiCi's Pizza). And yeah, two Chinese restaurants deliver around here.
  10. The only way to destroy the internet permanently would be to destroy every computer on the planet, or at least, every server on the planet. Even then, it would still come back as long as we have the technology to make more computers and network them again. The internet is basically like a phoenix - it would rise from its own ashes.
  11. Sounds bad. You can only get it by downloading a bad addon, right? I don't often download them, so I should be safe, but thanks for the info.
