  1. I'm searching for the best free internet filter program available on the net to block out unwanted stuff on my computer. Any ideas? Thanks Notice from snlildude87: Consider this your "verbal" warning. Topic Title is supposed to describe what the thread is about. The thread is not about "What is...", it's about an internet filter, so your topic title should contain that. Next offense will result in a real warning.
  2. Well the programs are loaded into the 1 gig SD memory card so I don't know what's wrong. I think the program that I tried to load has something in there (virus or something) that wouldn't enable me to boot it. The shut down only happens using that program only.
  3. FINALLY! WHOOOPIE! I changed the IDE cables into a better one, took out my main computer's cd-rw and plugged it in and it finally read the window xp disk. Then another problem arises...there are some files that cannot be installed (all contains ----.sys). I'm gonna borrow my friend's window xp disk and see if that works.
  4. The first one is pretty nice but it's hard to see her face (which is beautiful by the way ) and the words. Great job on both.
  5. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ For those who's interesting in playing gamboy on their pocket pc while working (or just plain bored) that link right there will save you from boredom. So far that's the only one that works well but the drawback is the rate in % switches (150 to 50) but it's still pretty fast. The roms is your regular gba roms. Have fun . Ooops, the emulator is Pocket advance by the way.
  6. Whew. I thought it was just me. I tried to open this one program after I downloaded it (gps dash) but it keep freezing on me and I had to restart my ppc every time. I've learn my lesson. Good thing is that I always charge my ppc even if it's only used like 20% of battery. Don't ask me why, it's just me
  7. The only two things that happen when booted without floppy disK: COMPAQ (computer brand) and then No Os detected ....and so on. Nothing else. Nada. Zip. When booted with a floppy disk, the command prompt appears. That's pretty much it.
  8. For some reason my ppc lagged down until it's even hard to open any programs until the ppc itself freezes with no program running. I had to reset the main memory and delete everything. This happened twice before and I have no clue what's wrong with it. Have anyone had this similiar experience?
  9. Bravo! There's something I've never heard before. Nice said. Yes, there were sometimes when science collides with religion and there you are, confused, wondering which was right and which was wrong. Is Darwin right on his evolution theory? Or was it Buddha and his afterlife? Or Jesus Christ who claims to be our Savior? It depends on faith in my opinion.
  10. The computer is from Compaq which was bought about 3-4 years ago. And nope I do not hear any abnormal beeps which usually occurs when there is something wrong. How do I flash the BIOS?
  11. 14 and working? What the freak. I'm also 14 but I can't find a part time job anywhere. I was thinking swamp meet during summer or a small local fish store. I live in california by the way.
  12. Nope. I do not believe in any superstition and that includes chain letters. Superstition in my opinion is to scare little kids so that they'll behave but other than that, it's just a hoax to me.
  13. I tried all different boot sequence such as 1) CD rom 2) floppy 3) hard drive. I mixed them around to see if anything happens but to no avail. Sorry, I have no clue what FAT or NTFS is and I only use window xp disk.
  14. Well here's my two cents. Trusting yourself isn't always the right choice. I have a question though Horus. Why is 'us' and 'our' in colors? Yeah, every religion fight over each other saying 'Our religion is right, yours is wrong'. This feud goes on forever...and forever.
  15. Well computer specs are as followed:1 ghz proccess from PentiumMemory is more than 512 (didn't check)I also have a spare dvd rom that I can put in or I can just take out my main computer's cd-rw drive and try if that works or not. I don't want to put my friend's hard drive into my main computer because I'm afraid it might jack it up. I still got about a week or so to see what happens.
  16. Well I talk to one of my friends and he advised me to put my friend's hard drive into my other computer in the living room and use it as a slave drive and reformat. He also advised me to changed the IDE cable just in case. psychiccyberfreak - Everything is plugged in correctly from ide to everything.
  17. I cannot format the computer at all. The cd rom does not boot. The command prompt would not let me open fdisk and format. The window xp would not boot. Nothing works. I'm sure the files on the hard drive is erased but I can't even boot any disk...this is irritating.
  18. Man that is SICK! There are monsters everywhere...things like this happen everytime espcially in the third world country. The thing that pisses me off is that how low can you go? Anything can happen anytime anywhere. Standing by and watch is very irritating.
  19. Gmail would not stop growing. I heard it doubled it's email storage because yahoo increased their's to 1 gb. I mean I haven't known anyone who uses that much. My old yahoo (250 mb) had over 500 emails and I barely even used 2% of it. Btw, the emails were junk and i checked it every 2months or so. I just wish we could store things in gmail and use it as an online storage for mp3 and whatnot.
  20. Yeah I'm sure the hard drive is messed up already so I wanted to format it (since that's the only thing I can do now I think) but the problem is I cannot boot from cd-rom either! I tried to boot from a floppy start up disk but that didn't work out either. Currently I am trying to make it in a cd-rom disk and see if that has any effect.
  21. Well if this topic does not belong here, please feel free to delete/move it. Here's how the story went: My friend's computer crashed on him and he asked me to come over and have a look. So I did and here are some errors that appear: Boot cd-romBoot cd-romCannot load press ctrl+alt+delete to restart After I restart it the same thing happens all over again. (Note: the message is very similiar to that above but I didn't write the exact message down). I tried the restore disk and then that too did not work even after I log into windows, the computer freezes and the message above appears again. When I load the computer again, this message appears:The following file is corrupted or missing<windows root> \system32\hal.dllWell now I have no clue what to do. I believe the problem is in the hard drive but I'm not sure so I brought my friend's hard drive home to check it out and when I put it in my old computer, it said, "Operating system not found on any devices. Press any key and try again"So...what do I do now? I'm totally lost. Any help or comment would be greatly appreciated.
  22. Nope, there isn't any printer connected to the computer. I checked the port to see if it was malfunctioning just like what Windows told me to do and it said all ports were working fine. Good news...I'll just switch to cable soon since bro decided cable over speaker system for computer hehehehe.
  23. WOW! Thanks alot guys. Well I guess the pocket pc that I have uses ARM because the softwares I've downloaded is compatible with ARM. I shall find out more about this. Thanks again.
  24. How do find the lyrics? MP3? Sorry, but I'm confused.
  25. Well, I haven't read all the posts but well all religion is based on faith. "By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed to go out unto a place which he was to receive for an inheritance: and he went out, not knowing whither he went." Heb. 11:8, R.V.It's always by faith that's why I believe in God and not in other religion. Everyone has different opinions. God made us to have fellowship with him according to Genesis. Judaism, Hinduism, Islam, Buddhaism, and many other religions are based on faith.
