Thanks OpaQue for telling him straight, it's really annoying to see him reading my posts then saying things about me and my contribution just because he's not gaining much myCENTs.. @ Mahesh2k: Thanks mate, I have added this into my first post above.

OpaQue already knows. And so far he likes the idea. Not sure if he's read it yet. -
Php Simple Login Tutorial Learn how to make a simple login
-Sky- replied to HmmZ's topic in General Discussion
Yeah, I used a simular script to this one when I coded an exclusive Invision Power Board modification. I intigrated the PHP Login Script and imploded the code into my IPB modification, thus allowing my Staff to login to our Moderator Control Panel. From Invision Power Board version 1.3, v2.0.0.x and up had no Moderator Control Panel. Invision Power Services development team changed the Moderator Control Panel (aka Mod CP) to an advanced moderation function, where you can moderate threads/posts IN selected forums instead of in a Control Panel of it's own. Me and my coding team friends started to recode our Moderator Control Panel to enhance it, so we was able to just login to our Moderation/Administration area and do the moderation of our forum from there. It was much easier. -
Yes YES YES! I would like to change our Internet Service Provider..TalkTalk are one of the most -|Insert-bad-words-used-in-bad-ways|- Service Providers ever made. Their support team are just pathetic. They ask you to do Speed tests etc, then when you ring them back (on same day) you say do another test..another test...it's stupid. Unfortunately our Router is not plugged up to the MAIN BT socket, which is making our Router speed rubbish and slow.

I do agree with you there mahesh. OK, so what, I make another thread (but where?) And I'll also need to make another overhead banner. Good thing I saved the .PSD. -
This Guide is for all of our new members of Xisto! OK, well to start of with the most efficient tool for a hosting company to have is a KnowledgeBase System. It should hold all helpful guides, tutorials, FAQs, How-To's and all other things related to this system. The knowledgebase is organized into different categories set by the company Administrator(s). As a proud Xisto Advanced Member, I'd like to say a big thank you to OpaQue and BuffaloHELP for providing and administrating Xisto to it's fabulous state as is of now. Pre-Sales Anything you'd like or need to know about Xisto and Xisto - Web Hosting can be found in our Pre-Sales section. Support Help Articles related to Shared, Reseller, VPS/Dedicated, Free, Windows, and Corporate E-Mail Hosting can be found in our Support section. General General information related to basic questions and queries such as "why we call our features unmetered" like (this) article for example. Web Host Ordering & Activation Ordering and getting your webhosting activated is simular to Domain Registration. All you have to do to get webhosting is purchase a hosting package from the "Order" form and wait till support activates your product. Note: It can take up to 24 hours to get your product activated. patience is required. Domain Registration Information all members should know about before purchasing a top-level Domain name for their website using MyCENTs or any other billing method. Domain Ordering & Activation After purchasing your domain, you will have to wait for a few hours for the Support Team on Xisto - Support to activate your domain name. This process may possibly take more then 24 hours as the team are very busy with all members requests and queries. They do their best to make sure everyone gets the same amount of support as others. Absolutely no members get different types support then others. They are all given the same support as everyone else! DNS Changes Members should take note that registering a Domain name can take up to 24-48 hours to make changes with the DNS Servers. Administrators: Our humble Admins (OpaQue & BuffaloHELP) are the key's to what makes this hosting company a big success. Without them, well lets just say Trap would never be the same. So we must gracefully respect them in all ways possible, and give big appreciation for all of the work they have but into Xisto! Moderators: Our Moderators are the key's to what protects this community from Spam, n00bs and Rule Breakers. Without their great moderation, this forum would be such a mess with all the spam and rule breaking n00bs. Members: Us Members are the key to the success of this company as we are spending our time here to contribute many many things. Just think, without us and our contributions, the forums would have nothing but Staff posts/topics in. So we must keep doing our best to ensure the activity of Xisto by posting and contributing! ____________________ OK, since most of it is here, this thread comes to an ending point. I ask members ____________________________________________________________________________ Please Do Not Post After This. Post your comments in the Xisto KB Discussion thread. ____________________________________________________________________________ If I am missing anything out here, please send me a Personal Message requesting to add something into the KnowledgeBase thread. Thank you for reading and I hope this was very helpful and handy to you!

Hmm, thinking about what you have just described there k_nitin, I must agree. However we do have a KnowledgeBase here. I am making a simple thread about it now. This thread I am making is going to be big.
-
Soviet, swell forum there mate. I do hope it goes well. However, there is an issue in your Shoutbox. Clicking on the members names (that goes to their profile) ends with "/#", in which directs to your Board Index since IPB does not recognise it. You should find the reason to why it is doing this and fix it. -Sky.

Great idea haslip! However, it would be more logical to actually make a group called "KnowledgeBase Team" (this idea is up to you OpaQue) though I really do like the idea. We could make a select group of "KnowledgeBase" team members who manage the moderation of the KnowledgeBase forum. (obviously would not take over Moderators etc) but I think this could be a swell opportunity for those Advanced forum members (like myself and others) to take responsibilities to maintain this area.I'd really like to know comments for this idea.
-
Omg, fabulous idea OpaQue! I will start it now.
-
Lol, you'd be an evil one then. Meh, I suppose the amount of support tickets they get it would take time. :/
-
I have changed it myself now. Thanks anyway. When I edited the Admin account, now when I try edit it, it says it cant be found. I tried editing the hash and pass salt.
-
Shadow, do you have any MSN sort of program? It'd be easier then posting. The hash is MD5, and there is no such variable called "Password". There's only "converge_pass_hash" and "converge_pass_salt".
-
No no, you don't understand. I am not trying to change passwords for my Trap hosting account stuff. This is for my FORUMS database. My forum runs an eairly version of IP.Board 2.3.5 (because I uploaded a backup) and I have forgotten that password to my Admin account. I need to know how to change a users password in the IPB tables of ibf_members or ibf_converge_members.
-
Thanks for your reply shadow.I need help changing a user password IN phpMyAdmin. My old GTA forum is IPB 2.3.5 so I reuploaded a fresh copy of IP.Board 2.3.5 off my backup disk along with other stuff I had for my board, my IPB license etc. However, the DB is done and all etc etc etc, now I need to install some mods for my forum index to show again (because it's a fresh copy of 2.3.5 most of my files I had have gone. So now I need to change my user password via phpMyAdmin.Thanks.

I'd like to give a big thanks to those who have helped me, and those who have offered to help me! All of your efforts in which to help me get this issue fixed is much appreciated. However, now I need to know how to change a username's password via MySQL command lines. :)Thanks.

How Many Of You Still Have Your Old Sub-domain?
-Sky- replied to The Simpleton's topic in General Discussion
I used to have a subdomain but don't anymore. I was here when version 1 of the Credits System was active. Good memories to be honest. -
Yeah, that's what we can't get working. the first nameserver name doesnt respond to the request.

Heres the quote from our MSN conversation:

I prefer and will always use Invision Power Board. I'm an IPB modder/coder, and script coder so I will always be using IP.Board, weather it's a paid forum software or not.
