  1. vBulletin is more professional and is way more customizable.vBulletin is used by more professional companies (like Atari) because its more management-friendly.
  2. HTML is basically the building blocks of websites. Its simple to learn, easy to put together and generally not too complicated. PHP is like HTML+, it adds a bit of zzziinng to your website, and can support login scripts etc (search on google).
  3. As I said before, Macs are fantastic for audio/visual jobs. Here, I can point out that the creators of mac (apple) created probably the best image package out there - photoshop. I'd sum up that macs are the best if you want something for creativity and recreation. Macs aren't set up to manage lots of programs at all. However, macs are v. visually appealing; you only have to look at the screensaver to get a taste of that (search "mac screensaver" on youtube to find out).On the other hand, if you want to get the job done, easier and more powerful in some aspects, go for Windows XP. Businesses use it, schools use it and its the most widespread OS in the home. Its great at word processing and internet browsing, and generally is an all-rounder. Most software companies support windows. Networks use windows XP because it can manage many users, macs couldn't do that (or run a big network).Microsoft = All rounder - good for businesses.Macintosh = Specialist for Creativity & Design.
  4. Ctrl + Alt + The Up arrow key Hope this helps. Acer laptops are the really cheap and chunky types. They usually come with Celeron processors, but this one seems to come with a Centrino, which is fine. Screen, fine, processor, fine, memory, ok. The laptop is satisfactory, but if you'd like to push the boat out a bit more, try a Satelite Laptop or a HP laptop. If you'd like to go to the higher end of the market, try going with Sony Vaio, some are excellent so check the reviews (i recommend on amazon). If you'd like to go for looks rather than specs then go for Macbook air, which is the thinnest laptop out there. Hope this helps!
  5. hmm...it seems like your game is a tech game, so the name would have to be mainly tech based. For example: Techfury or Technology Is Killing Us or something.Whatever you choose, it has to be related to technology!!!
  6. Photoshop is good.It can be designed to the exact specifications YOU want, and it is fully customizable. If you can't get or shell out for photoshop, try either of these excellent free tools...GIMP (https://www.gimp.org/)orPaint.NET (http://www.warrenpaint.com/index.html)
  7. Firefox 3 is good in some ways...> Its stable (sort of)> It looks good.> Its safer. However, like most things, firefox 3 has a major bad point...> It isn't compatible with some add-ons (when you upgrade, firefox will alert you which ones have been phased out of firefox 3)So, if you have no add-ons and want a face lift and a safer experience, go with Firefox 3.If you want a more founded, stable and compatible experience, keep Firefox 2.Mostly, its for you to decide! I like both, but I like using ff2.
  8. Yep its not fair. The least that nintendo should do is make games that are compatible with BOTH not just the lite. The PSP Slim & Lite is basically a cut down version of the original, slightly thinner and lighter. Now, nintendo's not interested in the D.S anymore, its all about the wii...
  9. Google Adsense is good, I don't use it myself but its very popular and I hear good things about it.There are other ad sites that you might be interested in, Money4Banners (for instance) is v. good.
  10. Gamemaker is fairly powerful, but not visually appealing. If you really want something like the online mmorpgs like runescape or utopia, then you have to be like an expert/pro in scripting in server language, flash & web publishing. As people have said above, you will need a dedicated server! All the bandwidth you would use on normal hosting (if that was only possible) would be eaten up within a matter of hours if you had enough users.looks like a dedicated server + scripting + flash = mini mmorpg.
  11. Microsoft is the most widespread, therefore the most supported.. However, macs look visually apealing and can be more powerful than windows especially in some types of media, such as Audio or video...Macs = DesignMicrosoft = Widespread
  12. This has been speculated quite a bit recently. You can open up your computer's case and use a can of compressed air (search on amazon) to blow sideways on it to dislodge the dust (believe me, loads of dust gets clogged in the air vent, so it needs to work harder to continue)... Try it; it really does work! Else, take your computer's case off, and use a cloth to clean inside it... Do not use a vaccum cleaner!!!, this creates static and practically frys the computer's memory - so be careful!
  13. I'm not really a microsoft fan either, but office 2007 looks great, and the office system is the most widespread (and most people know about it or know how to use it).Openoffice is free, sort of easy to use, but it isn't as powerful as 2007....
