I suggest that you get one that uses wireless-N technology. They are the fastest and the signal isn't confused when going down a hallway or reaching to a basement. These also have great range. I use one right now and my modem and router are all the way down the hall- about 100+ feet. The only downside is the fact that they are more expensive than wireless-g technology routers. But for the money, I think that N technology beats B and G by a longshot. But if you have a small house and don't need very much range, then a wireless-g router would do the job. But I think that a router with wireless-n technology is the best router out there.

Firefox Or Internet Explorer that is the question...

Ok, I currently use Firefox 3 because I think it has the most features, security and it is fast! Internet Explorer (Windows)-This is build into Windows when you first turn on your computer. I think it starts up fast, but has a few flaws- which I will reach in a minute. The things that I like are the fact that there is no need to download it and well, it starts up fast. Ok, now the flaws: bad security, updates take forever, slow, non-customizable, and it is slow- did I already mention that?I hate IE. out of ;) ;) Mozilla Firefox (Most OS's)-Firefox is a browser that requires a very small download and a fast install. It has a lot of add-on functions and it is very easy to use. It has enhanced security features and it's really customizable. It is really fast, and it can be tweaked to become faster. It has easy to use tabs and it loads Java really quickly. It blocks most pop-ups so that I don't have to deal with them. Oh, and another thing, most websites recommend that you view their site in Firefox. So, Firefox displays websites the best. Firefox, as mentioned above, is on most OS's including Solaris- an unknown one that I don't use. Flaws: some websites don't display correctly because they weren't updated, and some add-ons from previous versions won't work. But they can be updated easily. Firefox is a great browser, and I currently use it.I love FF. :D ;) out of ;) ;) -
Ok, I currently use Firefox 3 because I think it has the most features, security and it is fast! I thought I should start a topic (and I don't know if there is one like it) in which I talk, and you guys too, about the browsers that are out there for any OS. So, I'm going to start off by saying a few things about internet browsers that I have tried in the past.Internet Explorer (Windows)-This is build into Windows when you first turn on your computer. I think it starts up fast, but has a few flaws- which I will reach in a minute. The things that I like are the fact that there is no need to download it and well, it starts up fast. Ok, now the flaws: bad security, updates take forever, slow, non-customizable, and it is slow- did I already mention that? out of :D :D Safari (Windows and Macintosh)-Safari is a web browser provided by Apple. You can download it for free on Windows or you could use it right on Mac OS X when you first boot up. Safari is a fast browser that looks really sleek. I loads Java quickly and YouTube quickly as well. I has some security features as well- but not many. It downloads quickly and the visual effects are great. Ok, now the things I don't like: it is non-customizable- something like iTunes has for example. Apple, for some reason, won't allow us to customize it will add-ons and cool themes that people have to offer. But, other than that, it is a good browser that is pretty fast. :D ;) out of ;) ;) Opera (Windows, Macintosh and Linux-I think)-Opera is a browser that is also used on the Nintendo Wii. It has a really sleek looking design and it loads pages really fast. Google searches are displayed quickly and YouTube videos load rather quickly as well. It has a cool voice add-on in which you can speak and it does some basic commands- even though you have to speak rather slowly. It has a cool tab function called speed dial in which you can open multiple pages at once and view all of them. Ok, but I don't like where the tabs sit, I am just not used to it! I wish that I could move the bars around and arrange them how I want. Opera has a good pop-up blocker and it downloads rather quickly. ;) ;) out of ;) ;) Mozilla Firefox (Most OS's)-Firefox is a browser that requires a very small download and a fast install. I use Firefox because it is easy to use and I've loved it since the first release. Firefox 3 is great because it is fast, customizable and the add-ons are awesome. I realize that some of the add-ons have compatibility issues, but the people just need to update them. Safari is great, its kind of fast, but not customizable-- something that I hate. IE is slow, not really customizable, and lets in viruses. Opera is pretty fast... nothing more to say. I've never tried any other browser because I don't know of many. Firefox has great security and most websites recommend that you view the site in Firefox. I really don't see what is soo bad about it...

All that you have to do for home button is just right click on the toolbar and click customize.. really easy-- another thing that separates Firefox from all the other browsers. Mozilla Firefox Poll Give your view about the FireFox browser
GMBlazed replied to yasir's topic in The Internet
Firefox is the best browser out there for many reasons:1. It is FAST. I ran some tests in different browsers (Opera, Safari [windows], IE & Firefox) and Firefox came out on top. I can even add a plug-in called faster-fox to make it go even faster. 2. Ease-of-use. Firefox is easy to jump into and it's ui is really easy to understand. Add-ons are easy to install and it has a good pop-up blocker.3. Firefox can view web pages the easiest. Most website recommend that you view it in firefox.4. IE can get viruses on your computer THE FASTEST. My laptop got a virus through IE, even though I wasn't using it!?5. It is the most popular browser out there and I suggest it to everyone. TY MOZILLA!! -
I just had to post here for the reason that I did NOT switch to linux.1. Why can't you just use Windows? It is universal and most companies use it. A lot of companies couldn't give a s&%$ if you know linux or not. Windows is really easy to code, and, if you're a gamer like me, you can play a HUGE variety of games.2. Linux is very hard to understand for noobies. I know Windows Xp very well and I can code very easily. With linux, I tried to do some commands after learning, and it was a very difficult concept to conceive. 3. Windows is very straightforward. Windows is fully explained and the user-interface is REALLY easy for someone who is new to a computer to get. Linux is really tough to setup things and programs are hard to execute sometimes.4. DRIVERS! Most things that you buy for your computer today are for Windows Xp or Vista. On the package it says under system requirements that you must have a Windows Xp or Vista OS. Linux drivers are very hard to come by for things such as a capture card or wireless USB to connect to a network. 5. Looks. Most people say it looks better than Windows, but I highly disagree with that. Windows is EASY to customize it's looks. You can create your own look and release it for others to use. I love Windows and how my desktop looks. I don't care about making windows wobble, because to me, I think it's just dumb.6. LASTLY, people say that it runs faster than Windows, however, this is not true all the time. Windows is very speedy on a lot of computers. Okay maybe not old ones, but with just a little clean up with a simple program every week, you have a fast computer.**Edit** 1 more thing:7. Viruses. I realize that Windows is the easiest OS to receive viruses, but if you aren't dumb and keep an anti-virus running and scanning, then you'll be fine. If you get a virus, they can be really easy to get rid of, unless you were stupid and downloaded a really hard virus.

Ok but that is not the only theory of evolution. I agree with evolution, but not the fact that we came from monkeys but the fact that our minds have developed. There is no way I can believe in Christian s*&^

I have to agree with everything you said. There is no such way I can believe in this God that the Christians believe in. First, how did 'God' get there in the first place? He must have appeared one day like a magician... Second, you can create something out of nothing, it is possible and proven by science - the real truth. Third, wat makes a priest more holy than me? umm, ya and lastly CHRISTIAN RELIGION SEEMS LIKE A BIG IMAGINATION GAME TO ME!
