  1. Ive never had any bluescreens on vista, and I get them quite often on xp. I think that may have something to do with hardware too, though. But I will admit that im running some pretty interesting programs that may be doing something funky to cause the bluescreen... enough said.
  2. I myself sometimes can control my dreams, but usually its go with the flow. I remember a couple times where I have a superman type dream where I can fly if I think about it and try really hard. But then there are dreams where I seem out of control completely... Sometimes I would be running from something and im trying to run fast but its almost like im running in slow motion. Also I need to wear glasses or contacts, and sometimes in my dreams it will be as if im not wearing any and I have trouble seeing whats in my dream. And usually when i realise im dreaming or something similar, is right before I wake up. Dreams are wierd... lol
  3. It is pretty obvious that you dont take the bible seriously... But once again you are wrong on numerous occasions. "God cant make up his mind..." I dont know where you are coming from with this, but maybe it was when the flood happened? God created us to worship him, we sinned, and started fallign fom God. It got so bad that only one person was left in the world who believed in him, Noah. Since creation until this point there was water surrounding the earth, God released that water and it fell to earth as the flood. Afterwords God says he will never destroy us again, and gives us the rainbow as a symbol of him promise. It could also be explained that since there was water surrounding the earth before, the atmosphere would be different, along with the ozone, now that their isnt that layer of water, the refraction of light that is a rainbow can now occur. I dont think it is as simple as He cant make up His mind. Though I doubt thats even the case. A lot of the new testiment was writing by jesus' apostles. Not some random monk... You should google search the history of the bible, the people who made the bible were not the people who wrote it. Also everything in the bible is influenced by God, not physically written by him as it appears you believe in your third sentence. With what you have been saying here, I refuse to believe you read the bible every night for 2 years, not even every other night. If you have been reading it as often as you say, you arent paying much attention.
  4. Honestly, where do you get this information? It's just... wrong. A lot of these things you guys are saying are bad qualities, I find to be good. I like the bells and whistles to be honest, and I dont care if it takes a little bit more RAM or CPU... whats the point of having higher resolutions if you dont use them (aka fancy bells and whistles)? You try reading this forum in 600x400 resolution and see how far you get. So it requires better hardware, just means it will do that much more. I dont think anyone has actually said why any one, is better than another. I have almost no experience in mac because I can't even go 10 minutes in best buy without getting anoyed. I also have little experience in linux, though more than mac os', and wasnt using it long enough to tell. I just had trouble installing things, it could have been a technical issue but it was probobly my lac of knowledge as to how it runs. Is there anybody out there who uses windows, mac, and linux regularly and can tell us what would be better in one than another. It is common knowlege that windows is the way to go for games, so enough of that now... And I dont care about the differences between vista and xp, I have both. And i use them at the same time, just like now, with no problems.
  5. Ive heard that celery had the "negative calorie" effect, but I had no idea that so many others did! Thank yo uvery much for this list, it will definately come in handy. I love my apples, watermelon, orange, pineapple, carrot... You get the picture. Thanks again!
  6. I tried Ubuntu for a little bit, multiple times. I really like linux (expecially the free stuff) and I wish I could have learned how to do it.What made me stop mostly, was trying to use the terminal. I was trying to install Java and I followed their instructions exactly, but it wouldnt work. And then I couldnt find some wierd password, even after help from people...I need a linux inclined friend to just sit down with me and walk me through the basics, but until then ill just stay locked in my room, crying. lol
  7. I dont have to type in ym password everytime. I guess i turned off the UAC and just use Mcaffee instead. But I do like how before exe files or system files are run, it asks me first. Then i click on and im on with my life.
  8. Yeah, linux is very interesting... My main problem with it though, is that I couldnt figure out how to work a lot of things. I think I just needed somebody to walk me through it. As for setting up your sister's laptop, and having things run slower, it could be the hardware. I am somebody who is going to get the best hardware I can, just incase, even if I dont hardly play those hardcore games often or at all even. But naturally 2 computers with the same exact specs, 1 on xp 1 on vista, the xp will run faster because the OS is less advanced. But I think at a certain point (for ex. dual core 2gig processor in each) they will run at the same speed... And honestly I like the UAC because I know that no intruding program is going to run on my computer unless I click accept. But I will say that I dont have an open mind to mac at all... Sure its got some cool features, but (from what ive seen, correct me if im wrong) its not very open. For one I love the right click. For two, it seems too simple. I like to be able to edit things and have control over my computer, and from what ive seen mac is pretty straight forward. To me it seems like mac is for little kids or something who just need to use the programs and nothing more. And as far as flames go, please politely explain how im wrong... Im sure alot of the vista sucks talk is from people who feel the same as I about mac but visa versa. On a side note, I love my iPhone to death. But if they made an iPhone with windows... Id be all over it like a pack of wolves on a three legged cat.
  9. You guys are forgetting soccer! lolOh wait, maybe im just the only american here...Soccer or however its call is almost not-stop running, its an excellent workout. Tennis I would imagine would be like raquetball... When you start off its a good workout, but as you get better you move less... But then if you get better and play on the pro level, your opponents wont make it easy.So as far as that goes... dont get better at tennis or raquetball, and if you do then start stepping it up to the professional level!Or you could just play with a weight vest/ankle weights/wrist weights/ small child on your back!
  10. For mass, go to the gym (or get your own weights). Drink a protein shake about 20 minutes before you start lifting. Find the heaviest wieght in which you can do 7 reps of whichever excercise you choose (and then do 7 reps), take a small break, do another 7 reps, rest and then do one last set of 7 reps. I would recomend simple curls, and also what I thought were called butterflys... but online its called a bench dumbell press. You should also do the same thing with your torso and your legs. I would also recomend that you do this on monday wednesdays and fridays, with either a break or a short run on the off days. If you do it everyday you wont give your muscles time to heal, and you could actually damage them. Once that wieght you started on is easier to lift, go up in wieght... Now if you wanted to be stronger but not get big and bulky you could find a lower weight and do many reps with the same plan. That will make your muscles more lean and toned. I hope this helps!
  11. Thats very true, but it may not neccisarilly be 20lbs. Because 20lbs for me is fairly light, where as 50lbs would be a good higher weight without overdoing it and hurting myself. It really depends on you. Do excercises that work as many muscles as you can, so you get your triceps too, not just your bicepts... and even the gluts for the ladies Definately pushups and sittups, the more you can do the better. I wouldnt recomend anything special, just regular excercises or else you will wear out quicker. As far as running goes, yes yes yes. You say you run six times a week, so you may be better than I, but what i do is.. Go to gym Run for 20-30mins Go to weight machines Work arms 50% Work torso 30% Work legs 20% The leg excercises take up 20% but are actually not that long, since I would run before it. For example, sometimes ill do a few reps with as many weights as I can find for the leg press... (so far 700 tops, but i run out of weights) I wouldnt actually recomend running 6 days a week... I would recomend every other day, or monday wednesday friday with a weekend break. On the off running days do extra arm/torso workouts. If you excersise every day you dont give your muscles a chance to heal and regrow (bigger/leaner). You can actually damage your muscles by over excercising so dont overdue it. If your going stricly for muscle just drink a protein shake before working muscles (probably not before running though). Well now that that's covered, where can I find some dieting tips? Lol... (i think im addicted to food, hah)
  12. Vista works perfectly for me. I have 3gigs of RAM and Dual core 2gig processor, on both my xp desktop and vista tablet convertable laptop. The only difference I notice is internet speed, which is because of wifi, because i have normal speed when using a lan cable. I dont see what all the fuss is about to be honest. I have both and there isnt anything ive done on my xp that i cant do in vista. On a side note, I like your sig t3jem...
  13. Motorola's razr has to be one of the best selling phones in the past few years. They make phones for many of the different services and have plenty of models. They even have some decent new smart phones. They are all popular brands but I would say that Motorola is the best out of these choices. But of course with all the apple hype, im sure Apple is probably moving up the rankings with it's iPhone.
  14. Thats pretty messed up. But you would think they would be able to identify the entry hole and figure, "Well the airplane was facing this direction while taking off so the shot came from somewhere in that general direction." And use the size of the hole to estimate the calibur, the biggest sniper wont be able to go more than 2000 yards (50 cal) and im pretty sure you can't fire one of those very discreitly. But I wouldnt go looking for a sniper myself. Its like they say, "If you can see the sniper, he can see you."Good luck with getting a pilot licence though, definately go for it... I'm pretty sure that the chances of getting shotdown in a cesna in the United States are so miniscule that you shouldn't even consider it.
  15. I hear a lot of people talk about how bad Vista is, and how its gltichy and buggy and programs dont work... But can somebody please go into detail? Ive been using Vista for almost a year and I havent had any problems of the sort. In fact, I prefer it over my xp.Could it be that those who havent tried it personally, don't like it? They have just heard horror stories? Or is it that somebody had a bad experience and then spreads those stories until it gets to the point where some people think vista doesnt even run properly?Vista came built on my laptop, then I swapped for a bigger hd and reinstalled with the OS disk provided with the computer. Could it be that all the problems come from people who upgrade from xp to vista? Not just vista in general? And even then, that stuff was probably fixed relitavely quickly.(On a side note my laptop is a tablet convertable and vista's integrated tablet/touchscreen features are great, apposed to having to get a different version of xp, or Mac's lack of any full sized tablets. [Hello, just make a bigger iPhone])What are your thought's/experiences? Somebody please enlighten me unto these apparent extremely common glitches I seem to be missing out on.Of course it could always just be a "beat up the other guy" marketing strategy by Mac...Discuss.
