  1. 1: What does being an All American mean?
2: When Teams win a State title, doe they then go on to a competition between the other State title winners to find the best in the country?

3: why are the plays so scripted, can they not make it up on the fly?

4: In "Varsity Blues" the QB gets the clock to stop by throwing the ball at the opposing teams mascot, who is out of bounds, why does this:

    a) Get the clock to stop?

 not become a foul or something?

5: I understand why there is a Offense team and a Defense team, but what is the "Special Team" ( or whatever its called ) for?

    1. I believe sports reporters vote on the best high school players. The best are named to an imaginary All American Team. College scouts will be sure to check out these players, increasing their chances of receiving college scholarships.

    2. The U.S. doesn't have a national high school playoff system.

    3. The offensive line (blockers) don't have eyes behind their heads, so they can't see where the ball is. The blockers need to know where the ball is going to be so they can block in that direction. If it's a run to the left, the blockers form a line running left. If it's a run straight ahead, the blockers run forward. Blockers cannot run forward on a pass play, so they need to know if it's is a running play or a pass play.

    4. He threw the ball out of bounds to stop the clock. Hitting the mascot was just for fun!

    5. The fastest players on offense and defense combine on the punting special teams/ receiving. On kickoffs the fastest players are combined on both the kicking and receiving teams.

Bear in mind that sports like rugby, soccer, and even basketball are centered around players attacking the ball. In Canadian and U.S. football, the game is centered around players attacking other players, especially whichever player has the ball.

  2. Two months ago I tried to do what you're asking about. I lost my hard drive, so I bought another used hard drive and swapped the platters. Simple enough, but the disk wouldn't read. Surprisingly, it's true. Opening it up ruins it. When I reswapped the platters and tried to install the newer drive, it didn't work either. I assumed people were exaggerating when they say a speck of dust would ruin a drive, but it seems to be true. Don't open it!

  3. There are no gods. Religion was 'the science' of thousands of years ago. Civilized men adopted rules for their tribes to live by. These rules became the basis of their religions. If no man ever imagined a god, we would still have religions i.e. rules. Creating god to scare people into obedience never worked out too well, but religion also sought to explain the world and, as such, was the science of the day. It was only when Julius Caesar hijacked Christianity and misinterpreted Judaic teachings that men became misled and saw scientific reasoning as a danger to their (Roman) power. The church proclaimed the world to be flat. The Bible doesn't say this. The church declared Earth to be the center of the Universe. The Bible doesn't say that either. The Church of Caesar (Catholic and its spinoffs) made many mistakes for which organized religion continues to suffer. In reality, Judeochristianity is vague on scientific matters. This is a good thing. Some religions stated wild ideas like the earth is held up on the backs of turtles!

  4. I'm an atheist. I know many atheists. It's definitely not a religion. Atheists simply put the human species first. We realize that human beings are the greatest thing known to us. Worshiping some imaginary powerful alien from outer space and looking forward to being its slave for all eternity is bizarre. Love your family and friends, be productive, and die with a clear conscience.

  5. i usea similar microsoft product that i beleive has this feature but i never use i just upload the files direct to the server or i use FTP when feel like being lay-z.
but really people if you need to know something just google it heres link i found about this:

    http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

The link above shows how to upload within Expression Web. You might do it the easy way, though, and use "Web Disk" provided by trap 17. It makes uploading sooooo easy. You can install it from cpanel.

  6. It's pathetic that so many people are giving Miley a hard time. Just a very cute young girl with some talent and some people just can't handle that. Madonna needs to stop trying to be part of the teen scene and accept that she's middle aged. The middle aged audience has lots of money to spend. And the paparazzi and media following this child around trying to catch her doing something wrong.... it's like a bunch of pedophiles! If the girl bends over and the paparazzi see her underpants will they snap the picture and actually try to sell it? Pathetic!! Billy Ray better carry a gun.

  7. Obama.Hillary and McCain are owned by the Israeli lobby. Lieberman has his hand up his puppets backside (McCain's). Israel wants the U.S. to occupy Iraq, Syria, Iran, and Lebanon to secure Israel's borders. Bush has led us down that path and both Hillary and McCain will continue it. The Neoconservatives are pushing this agenda. Groups like the PNAC (Project for a New American Century) are in control of the White House.Since Israel's Likud Party is wary of Obama, that tells me they don't own him (yet).

  8. Who is Ron Paul? That pretty sums up this guy and what are you talking about, the republicans already had their nomination months ago with John McCain. So yeah Ron Paul never had a chance just because no one knows him except for like 3 people; you, WM and Misa and thats it.

Surprise, surprise. Ron Paul is still running. He only has about 8% of the vote, but he's still campaigning for the nomination. If that surprises you, that's my point! The media stopped covering him because he could only win by some fluke like McCain having a heart attack or something. Hillary can't win. Technically, she hasn't been mathematically eliminated yet, but it's close. I just think some very powerful people in the media are keeping the cameras on her, hoping for a miracle.

  9. 7! Absolutely no doubt. Gods don't make sense. I also don't believe in ghosts, or demons, or any other nonsense. I do accept that some people may be gifted with telepathy, but I also believe it's explainable through science. We all have electrochemical thoughts that are floating around out there. Some people being sensitive to it wouldn't surprise me. Doesn't require a nonscientific supernatural explanation.

  10. No doubt we have an immigration problem. Here in Central California I'm surrounded by illegals. No english, playing that awful mexican carnival music all the time, junk cars on the lawns, illegal fat teenage girls pushing baby carriages, graffiti, vandalism, etc.It should be pointed out, however, that 3 million illegal aliens here are NOT from Mexico, and thousands are from the Middle East. One of them crossed the CANADIAN border to participate in 9/11.No matter how bad the Mexican illegal problem is, let's agree not to allow the govt. to distract us from the fact that 19 terrorists flew in here with Visas and 15 of them had paperwork out of order.I'll take a thousand Christian Mexicans over one Islamofascist friend of Bush from Saudi Arabia any day. SLAM THAT DOOR!!

  11. I don't think any such law would be retro-active. So the abortions would go underground, which is also unacceptable, of course. But a million teens wouldn't immediately end up on death row. Don't know who you think you're fooling with your sensationalist nonsense there, but we'll just clear up that little detail right now.
I'm just wondering: Are you not aware if a pregnant woman is murdered, the crime is "double homicide"? That means the penalty is up to two life sentences or execution. That's the law everywhere in the States I'm aware of. Why is that considered murder, but abortion is not? Why the conflicting laws?

Ah, I see I said 'had' abortions. I don't mean to imply that the law would work retroactively. I do mean that over time millions of poor girls would be imprisoned while financially secure females will be getting their abortions in Canada, etc. with Christian conservative daddy or hubby picking up the tab.

The fact is, you can't deny women their reproductive rights without justification, and if the justification is that an embryo is a child then that woman SHOULD go to prison or get the death penalty for murdering somebody. If you deny it, then you're basically admitting that you don't truly consider an embryo to be an equal human being, but something less.

Yes, I know killing a pregnant woman is a double homicide, which is what I'd want if my pregnant wife was murdered. I don't know if it's a double homicide if it's the first trimester however, and I don't think it should be.

I don't believe in a woman's right to choose if she's choosing to kill children. I don't consider a 5 month old fetus to be a child yet. The Supreme Court agrees with me.

Answer the following question: Why should abortion be banned? If your answer is "because a fetus is a human being" then the next question is "why should a woman who kills her unborn child recieve a punishment less than a woman who kills her born child?" If your answer is, "Welllllllllllllll, it's not quite a person just yet, sooooooooo" that doesn't wash.

What I'm saying is as anti- abortionists win their little victories here and there, eventually we'll have fetuses being treated as living, breathing human beings and millions of women in prison for infanticide. It's just logical.

  12. I was desperate to finish a site I was designing after I lost my hard drive and my software. I downloaded Expression Web from the Microsoft site for a 3 month free trial, and guess what? It's surprisingly good! Nothing like that crappy frontpage, it's standards compliant and very good for writing CSS. Haven't heard anybody mention the program and wondering if anybody else has tried it out. It's free to try from the MS site.

  13. Many folks asking about best html editor available, and I notice nobody seems to know about MS Expression Web. It's very cool at designing standards compliant pages, CSS just drag and drop <divs>, it validates and highlights your errors in code view, etc. It's available as a free 3 month trial for download on Microsoft's website. Yes, I hate frontpage as much as anyone, but I lost my hardrive a few months ago in the middle of designing a site and lost my software, so NVU and Kompozer both act like frontpage putting garbage in your code and I stumbled across this program. It saved me and it works great. It's nothing like frontpage. Check it out.

  14. Looks like everybody's putting in their 2 cents so here's mine: MS Expression Web. You can download it for a free 3 month trial on MS website. It IS NOT frontpage!! EWeb is standards compliant, writes in CSS, validates your code and tells you what you did wrong, etc. It's companion graphics program Expression Design is ok for logo design and some basic graphics work, but I prefer Corel Paint Shop Pro and the Gimp for most graphics work. I think CNET (or some other comparable site) just declared EWeb as the best WYSIWYG editor, ahead of Dreamweaver. One knock on EWeb is the builtin ftp applet doesn't want to stay connected. I think it doesn't do passive ftp or something like that, so I still use Filezilla for ftp uploads.

  15. Charles Rangel is always saying 'bring back the draft', knowing full well that it won't happen. The reason is because he's trying to make rich conservatives rethink their support of these wars, since their rich kids would be drafted. It's easy to support war when 90% of the soldiers are poor kids from broken homes. Draft the rich kids and the elite who run this country would stop supporting these Romanesque acts of aggression.

  16. Senator Obama is alluding to an important point: equal protection laws would make abortion a capital offense punishable by death. This is something that you and your ilk consistently overlook. The only way to 'protect' the 'unborn' is to call them 'human', but killing a human means life imprisonment or the death penalty. You probably think that a lesser penalty (punishment) could be agreed upon, but that would be unconstitutional. The unborn would have the same rights as the born. To create a lesser punishment for abortion is to declare the unborn to be second class citizens with lesser rights than the born. The only way to ban abortion is to put the mothers on death row, and to imprison the fathers and family members who went along with it.The senator points out that a bill guiding the care of 'aborted survivors' could have been worked out, but the conservatives opposed compromise. The senator had a problem with something else in the bill, not the idea of helping the babies survive in and of itself, but you choose to keep that a secret from us. It's very sweet of you to care so much about embryos, but it might be wise to consider the consequences of your beliefs.Once we declare fetuses and embryos to be human beings, we'll be filling our prisons with young girls who had abortions. A million women on death row is unacceptable.

  17. It never ceases to amaze me that 300 million people can be so petrified of a few hundred punks. So Al Qaeda hijacked a few planes and hit the twin towers. Obviously, the FBI and CIA screwed up. They've successfully thwarted over 600 terror attacks in the preceding 40 years. They won't mess up again for a while. More people die from falling in their bathtubs than from terrorist attacks. Terrorists are impotent. They're only capable of making people feel scared if those people are irrational cowards. What does this say about Americans? We'd hand Bush a lighter to burn the Constitution from an insane fear of some little Saudi punk.

  18. Israel has a dilemma. If it truly annexes the West Bank and Gaza, as supported by Iran, the Arab Israelis would soon outnumber the Jewish Israelis, so Israel doesn't do it. But right now, the Arabs in Gaza and the West Bank have no rights, no ability to conduct international business, no policing capacity (Israel won't allow a strong police presence), no power to enter into trade agreements, no right to travel, even from city to city within the West Bank. etc.The West Bank and Gaza are slowly becoming like the Jewish ghettos inNazi Germany and Europe. The Jews learned the wrong lessons from Hitler........... Former President Jimmy Carter is correct in saying Israel is an apartheid state. Eventually, the common man in Israel will be heeded, that Israel cannot be a true and righteous democracy while holding 2 million Palestinians hostage in the West Bank and Gaza. Zionism will eventually succumb to common sense and justice. When, though, is anybody's guess.

  19. When Moses came down from the mountain with the TEN Commandments in hand, the first being thou shalt not kill, he saw a new statue of some animal, so Moses sent soldiers to the local village to slaughter over 3000 people! Maybe Moses should have read the Ten Commandments. lolAll of these religions are hypocritical, saying peace from one side of their mouth and war from the other side. For Christians and Jews to attack Islam and vice versa is the pot calling the kettle black.

  20. You can add your site to google at google.com/addurlIt can show up any time over the next 2 weeks. Unfortunately, your site will be listed toward the bottom of the listings. It takes at least 7 months for a site to gradually float to the top of the listings. Depending on the content of your site, it may never get too high. Be the authority on your subject and the search engines will reward you for it. worry less about meta tags, page titles, crappy link exchanges, etc. Great content rules.Yahoo will probably find your site quick. The link is at the bottom of their start page. Also list with MSN search.
